Hohmann??

i think there is a shifting. efren has been losing more,,,,busta hasn't been as prominent this year, i think. i keep seeing either younger names or established ones who aren't yet old. i think THAT places hohmann further up the list. everywhere i look, i don't see the familiar names i used to.

i mean,,,,,,,MARCUS CHAMAT!!! COMEON, NOW!!!

Is it hard to believe,,,,,,,,

Don't doubt that there are many people out there who can run 400, but never got into to pro circuit.

since 300 is a defining watermark for GREAT players, you are saying there are many players out there at archer-type level who never played on tour and thus never had a chance to show their stuff. i doubt it very much.

you simply can't hide that kind of talent. people would know them.

So your straight pool high run is between 80-100 and you don't know the exact number? Me personally I would keep track just because it's a milestone to get that high. If you can run between 80-100 in straight pool you must play very strong.

I don't know the exact number. I was keeping track until about 70 on the beads. Once I proved my point, and passed it, I kinda quit keeping tabs. The most accurate I can get is probably close to 85-90. I really don't play straight pool very often...I get bored. I'm not a REAL strong player, but I think I shoot pretty well. That particular day I was SO incredibly determined to prove that guy wrong. To be honest, I'm not sure I could do it again...or consistantly I should say.

70 on the anal beads? Now that's impressive.

Focus: 85-90 is pretty damn good for anyone, you should practice straight pool more often. It helps out your small position and critical thinking which almost everyone needs work on.

And it's a shame that Thorsten isn't house pro at Bankshots anymore, Gabe Owen is supposed to start tomorrow, they are doing 3 challenge matches tomorrow night as a welcome. It should be fun.

Point made. I still disagree. Let me make a correction: I think there are people out there who have run 400 (or about that), who at one point in their life had the ability to be someone, but fell out of pool like so many pool hall junkies do. These are the guys you see every day in your local pool hall, then one day they aren't there and stay gone for a few months, then try to get back into it. I should have specified that it wasn't a consistant 400 ball run, but I know there are people out there who have the ability to run, and have run that many who were just never interested in tours. These people are probably the ones who get lost in gambling and never want anything more than that

Isn't it!! Thorsten got to know some of the people there. and they say he is a super nice guy. Personally, I have only spoke with him on a few occaisions, and I thought so too...but he wasn't a crowd pleaser! BUT, at the same time I don't know how much of a social butterfly I could have been when I was required to be somewhere from a certain time to a certain time every night...with no apparent social life outside Bankshots!

I heard about Gabe Owen coming in a while back! I have always liked him! You say that the challenge matches are tonight 11-10-05?? I'll have to check that out.

Are you in Jax, or did you just read about it somewhere??
