What type of flooring do you all use in your home pool room? Do you all have carpet or other?

Carpet tiles.

Yeah I would go for carpet, not only is it good for the equipment, but it's also much easier on us humans that stand for long periods of time around these old tables. It doesn't bother me too bad though because I'm usually the one sitting in the nice chair watching my opponent run the table. LOL

My wife wanted carpet in the basement, I wanted hardwood or laminate...I like the look of the flooring, but honestly with long sessions I miss the carpet. Thinking of putting down a "track" around the table with those carpet tiles.

I went with the comfort and protection of carpet. Another thing to consider is noise. My basement had concrete walls so when I ripped up the old carpet the echo and noise level was almost unbearable. Plus, my stereo sounded like garbage.

Should the table weight be on the tiles for a while before doing the final leveling to allow for any sort of settling ?
