Well my wonderfull fiance said we can go to a pool tourney for our honeymoon. :thumbup: Anyone know of anything going on in april. The women dont have many events this year and im not sure what the men are doing. So other than the philipines what would be a good place to honeymoon for pool in april?

The world's should be going on in UAE in April, or is it the qualifier in Las Vegas that will be going on in April, I can't remember. Your memory starts to go when you become an overaged fratboy..... :)

Well, here's a thought. Get married at Fatboys house and spend your honeymoon in Vegas and play pool at the mansion. I am sure he will have something going on to help you celebrate your special day.

now those sound good. She was thinkin new york anyways, (she wants to see a knicks game; god only knows why) and maybe something on broadway.

And i was thinkin vegas,also for the shows( and the gambling). Thanks hilla hilla. And thanks everyone else.

Any other ideas guys? the more choices the better. My first choice was manila but shes afraid I wont come back from there. :D

I have an idea: DON'T DO IT! Have a normal honeymoon that you both can enjoy. Go to France or the Great Barrier Reef or the Alps or Hawaii or Brazil or where ever. Skip the pool tourney this time. You'll have plenty of vacations that can be pool related.

IMO, a honeymoon is not a standard vacation, it's your first real experience as husband and wife. DO NOT GO TO A POOL TOURNEY. Sit on the beach and enjoy each other's company. Talk, drink, "sleep in" etc. But focus on each other.

It sounds like she is a great find, being willing to go to a pool tourney for your honeymoon. But you should reward her by doing something romantic, not by actually going to the tourney. There are times to "trade" theme vacations, but it's not on your honeymoon.

Lastly, in the future, if you are ever in an argument or serious disagreement, you can bet that you'll get something like: "I've been doing everything you wanted ever since we were married - starting with that pool tournament on our honeymoon." Or something like that. IMO, it is a much better idea to prevent even the slightest resentment that the honeymoon was "all for you." You don't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Plus, you don't want her to have to deal with her relatives asking about the honeymoon.

"We went to go see pool."

"Oh, they had a nice pool?"

"No, to watch pool."

you are LUCKY. I just did my honeymoon 2 weeks ago to thailand and the only deal i had to make was:

for 2 weeks:
Don't TALK about pool
NO pool on the tv
NO poolbooks alowed in the bagage
No tournaments, cashgames or friendly games
Don't THINK about pool
and DON'T use the word POOL

I can tell you ! it was DAMN hard !!

(ps almost any barr there has a pooltable. Can u imagine consentrating on what your wife is saying, instead of checking the speed of the guys out and calculating what weight i should give them, how fast the cloth is and how bumpy the rails are. its NOT easy.)

I managed to do OK, but i missed some answers on the question: Did you hear what I just said?
