What exactly defines a Hoppe style cue? From what I noticed there are wide black and white rings on the butt, the black ring seems to be always at the end of the cue. The black ring looks often to be 2x wider than the white, but sometimes they are of equal size.
Is there a rule or a tradition in that sense? Are there exact dimensions or proportions to be respected? Is the joint collar on these cues part of the Hoppe style too and are there any rules for it? I would appreciate detailed info and the history of this design, I couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Julian
