I have recently been asked to think of some Items to put in the Pro Shop of a Pool Room I am the House Man at..

I know the things that I think would sell. I'm just looking for some input on Items that sell Really Well at your Pool Rooms.

Thanks any info will be appreciated.
 
Things I bought at the local poolhall;
Cue holders, chalk holders, tips if they have the lathe to it on professionally.
 
In no specific order:
Cue Holders
Chalk Holders
Cue Cleaner (Specifically Cue Silk - It's really good stuff)
Playing Gloves (Multiple Colors - Ladies love gloves)

And it's always good to have a few cases on hand. Doesn't need to be customs or Instrokes, but I've seen people buy a $300-400 Lucasi and want a case to go with it. The majority of your sales will be impulse buyers, so it's best to have a fancy display.
 
Quality pool room T-shirts and Polo shirts.

By Quality I mean tasteful designs other than
the 90% crap presently on the market.

Yes! How well items sell depends a great deal on how they are displayed and the prices.

This. I'll always buy a shirt from a pool hall if it looks nice, nothing distateful and no typical eagle wings, skull and crossbones, etc.

You don't need pot in Louisiana, you've got drive-thru daiquiri shacks.
We drove from Denver to Lafayette for a dance recital (no shit) and by halftime, I
was ready to pass out from the 64 oz 151 daiquiri I picked up at a drive-thru.
I probably shouldn't of been tipping the guy so much all week>>:eek:

Lol, there's one right down the street from Lacy's too. Drive-thru Daiquiri shops are legit. You can buy gallons at a time. The dealio is it is illegal for them to put the straw in it for you. Restaurants can let you order daiquiris to go, but they give it to you in a cup without a straw.

There's a few places that will give you a beer in the drive-thru, unopened of course.

Then there is the ever so famous Go-Cup, but that's another story for another day :thumbup:

Ah I remember that from my time there... Of course, back then they put the straw in, but left the little bit of paper at the cap of the straw, which kept it exempt from being classified as an 'open container.' The trick, of course, was to ask for an extra straw!

Fer sure. When I am traveling about, I will usually hunt down a Harley Shop for a tee shirt. Same goes for pool shirts.

Good chalk. Magic, Diamond.

Probably sell a lot of the round Willard's Tip shapers. Same with the curved shapers that either hold a piece of sand paper, or the ones with the permanent
diamond grit.

Good quality shaft maintenance supplies. Wipes, pool towels that you can secure to your case. Wax.

Stay away from those garbage tip shapers, can't remember the name now. The ones that have the sand paper on the sides to take care of a Mushroom, and will wreck a ferrule in 5 seconds. Unless you have a lathe on site to fix the ferrules for free for pissed off customers. The built in burnisher will also twist off a tip in quick order too.

One thing that I bought for give aways for customers, found em on EBay. Pool Ball key chains. Quite inexpensive and will allow for a nice mark up.

A lot of players like chalk holders.

Condoms with an 8 or 9 ball on them. I bet that someone at Ali Baba will make them for you.

Ld Shafts.

I was thinking of Contacting OB and Predator and seeing if they would give me a Deal on a few shafts to put in the Display Cases. Just to Remind People that we have them.

Do you sell any shafts or High end Items.
