house fish

The "house fish" is the guy all the decent locals rob. It means they are the biggest sucker in the pool hall.
 
that's what i thought, but this guy at skyline billiards i was watching live stream, who just lost 3k on race to 30, called the guy who beat him "the house fish". that's where i got confused... thanks, muttley76.
 
He was either friends with the guy and ribbing with him, or he was firing some frustration bullets at the guy.

During the '60s in Denver, the term "fish" evolved into "tuna," just FYI. Never heard either one preceded by "house".

The big guy. It was a pretty good match until the last hour when they both seemed to be getting tired and the play was a bit ragged.
