anyone tried this stuff yet.everytime i watch the custom car channel.thees guys are spraying 100k+ cars with it.it must be pretty good.

I've seen that place on TV for years, everything from bikes to car shows. My impression of them from years ago is that their specialty was mixing and coming up with new & different colors. I saw one show where they showed them Mixing the colors, they had a wall of those color dispencers, and seems like they revealed what type paint they were using back then, but It's been a while since I saw that show, so I'm not positive. I'm Imagine what ever type paints it is, that It's quality stuff.

That's the part I'm not sure about, It seems back then they mentioned a brand, but I could easily be mistaken, and they may have mentioned The base was their own instead. What I do know is that they specialized in coming up with new colors. That may even be where the name came from. I always get the name mixed up with the color wheel. The other day I was talking to someone, was thinking of the CW, But called It HOC when talking to them, until I realized My mistake and corrected It.:o

> The last paint guy I talked to said as far as spraying cars,HOK is better than anything DuPont makes, but said it's crap compared to Akzo Nobel. Tommy D.

> I ran into him last night. Akzo Nobel is the parent company that distributes Sikkens, along with other brands. He said the stuff he was getting such great results with was the Autoclear III,but also said the water based Autowave was awesome too. With the baking system his shop uses,it's dry to the touch and ready to sand/prep in 45 minutes tops. This guy isn't painting high-end cars with it,but he does work for the busiest body shop in the area. Tommy D.
