What were the parameters for the singles brackets this year?
What did the top 20% of the field look like? What was the next tier like for # variance?

I looked at BCA Nationals 2023 and didn't see any results /links to this information.

You can get a sense of this by sorting by rating on the player listing.

Looks like the breakdown for platinum vs gold was around 600, then ~530 for silver, and ~450 bronze.

Anyone else have any additional information or a link to a source?

In singles 8ball there was a total of 1,463 players. The top 15% or so, based on fargo ratings, was considered "Platinum" division. The bottom 15% was "Bronze". Then the upper middle half was "Gold" and lower middle half was "Silver".

The breakdown looked like this:

Platinum: 229 players
Gold: 495 players
Silver: 494 players
Bronze: 245 players

I have that download and the tier breakdowns are proposed a little different then what you list?
What I was looking for was how the fargorate #'s were actually divided out. In other words is 15% of the national trnmnt attendees say 630 + ? On the other end of the scale are 15% under ? 325?400?

FWIW, I played in the 2020 BCAs at the Rio (days before covid shutdown)

At that time I was a 610 Fargo (632 now, btw)

I played in both the 8 ball and 9 ball singles.

I was put in the Gold for 8 ball, but in the Platinum for 9 ball.

I remember checking the Fargos of the Top finishers and in the Gold 8 ball there might have been someone a few points higher than me.

And in the Platinum 9 ball I was the DEAD lowest Fargo.

If you care, I came 7/8th in 8 ball (out of 350ish players) and got killed in the 9 ball..... I think I won one match and lost two, iirc.

So does Fargorate help with the BCA tournament? All those player's fargorate have to be verified right?

Are there no BCA admins that look at AZ?
