How can anyone sell in the WFS section?

1. The seller can only bump their thread every 48 hours.

2. Nobody but the seller can post in any thread for any reason at any time--EVER (first offense that poster gets a warning, second offense they get a couple of weeks ban, etc). If you have a question, you PM the seller. If you have a complaint, you use the "report post to the mod" button.
Really, nothing more needs to even be said. All the threads and all the hype and these two changes would fix the whole thing. Plain and simple. No more "hey so and so is a great guy just send him the money and no worries" or "great cue and great seller" or "wow that won't last long".....etc. I mean c'mon, I'm guilty of it in the past but this is a new day and there's definitely a need to make some changes. The drama cue deal threads are the worst plague lately, if there's a dispute and someone feels it needs to be made public then post it in the main forum or start a "dispute" sticky or something. It's easy to post a cue for sale in the morning and by late afternoon and 10 pages of back and forth bickering it's already in the archives.

Thats pretty right on. But, some members are happy being Silver. What happens when they decide to either Sell or Trade their present cue for an upgrade for themselves.

Just a once in a 3 or 4 year thing for them perhaps and they would be excluded from doing a deal unless they are Gold. They could be a long time member as well and not a Fly By Night Artist.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the Rip Offs or Trunk Merchants are good tho so thats a great start.

I guess AZ will have to start selling Gold Memberships by the hour, or the occasional flipper will have to step up
and sell more stuff to justify the cost of an annual membership><

I dont get involved to much around here as this place is the wild west, but having experience moderating one of the webs LARGEST forums, I kinda know whats up.

Lack of moderation and rules enforcement.

2 mods cannot run a forum with 87 subs. Simple.

The more mods you have, the more uniform enforcement you have (thus controlling the bickering, harassment and blatant violations like the classifieds have) and the "side" benefit is less favoritism.

And no, Im not interested.

Two mods that were on your level can't....but our mods here on az are top shelf. They probably give u the orange crush in moderating. Lol. That's enough kiss assing to keep me from being banned, lol

You can't possibly stop people from posting in threads unless you make the threads closed as soon as they are created. It's not fair to threaten to ban people who post under the OP. The very nature of a forum invites conversation. It's not Craigslist or a newspaper.

My thought is to look at what larger forums like those who deal in car parts and woodworking etc.. do. They have dealt with all this and have solutions in place.

There should be a fee associated with advertising something for sale and IMO, the seller should always pay the fee not the buyer unless agreed upon. .
If you don't want to pay any fees, become a paid member and change "Gold" memberships to "Platinum" and they do not pay for anything, free drawings etc.

Sellers, whom do not want to pay any individual selling fees because multiple sales can add up, allow them to become a "Gold" member for say $15-20 annually.
They can sell as much as they want without any selling fees. Otherwise anyone that lists something for sale pays a fee when the item sells. The software changes
will have to be worked out but the financial dictates of selling will change the way things are now done.

Nothing wrong with free memberships and it's the core of the Az community. It's the small population of Azers that abuse their memberships and let's be honest which
I know is hard for some Azers. Being a member of the Forum...... buying & selling merchandise without paying for the service .......well, it's really a privilege and as such,
should not be abused and needs to be respected, as much as protected.

John,

You post a thread for cases people already know you have.
Things that are readily available on your website or through another post of yours.

I'm not sure you are the best go to on this.

I'll take the other previous opinions on what to do as a good idea.

???

Are you able to moderate the wfs section?

If so then change it to what you want. If not then this entire conversation is just for fun because nothing is going to change.

If your item is desirable and priced right it will sell. An interested buyer will catch the listing.

Why would you say he is crying?
Your one of the biggest violators on the sale/trade page. You make comments on everything. That bumps the entire page down. Im not sure you even play pool, I think you just troll the for sale page and regurgitate comments others have made about certain cur makers.

I hope this link works. I doubt it will tho because, unless it has to do with porn, I'm awful with computer stuff.

First, only, and last video of me playing pool ever. I broke dry (10ball) took ball n hand and ran out . First try too. Kinda had a feeling id get out before I asked my buddy to tape it. U can see I'm nothing special on a pool table but u can see I play a little

Now Mr.nitty with the rules and can't play because the little light showing when u roll your shaft bothers you too much. You willing to prove me wrong about u not being able to run 3 balls with your expensive as a bunny ranch whore cue?

A good forum model is USN, Usual Suspects Network. Primarily custom knives, they gave sections other for watches, cameras, long guns, handguns, for discussion and another for sale. The are sections for knives but selling is done in the COVE, thier name for wanted/for sale. To get in the cove as a buyer or seller it costs $30 per year. CUSTOM and PRODUCTION knives are vseparate threads. The same could apply to cues, cases, etc. Comments have to pretain to the item and purchase. This way the seller doesnot gp to page 6 in a day. Also the buyer can look for what item in which they have interest.

Billiards elitist, cue snobs always irked me
