How did PoolKiller (and his other personas) get here?

I have to confess, I led him here.

There was a post a while back about someone (that poster may have been the very first PoolKiller ID) that found that bar rule booklet and asked if it was a good guide to learn from.

I looked at it, and emailed the guy to say that what he wrote was really bad and sent him a link to the forums and to that original post. I was hoping that after seeing the world rules and what was going on in these forums he'd realize that there were already "real" rules and instruction on how to play.

Did not work AT ALL. We had some back and forths in email, sounded basically like all the posts he had, he would say his ideas are the best thing for pool, I'd give a ton of reasons why they are not and why the rules are ridiculous, he'd go nutso for a bit pretty much ignoring any reason, and finally created an account on here so he can defend his rules.

I don't know if I did a bad or a good thing LOL

But I think it was good, like knowing the location of an enemy bunker so you can bomb the crap out of it LOL.

And we had some fun discussions on here due to PK.

Next you're going to tell us that you built your house on a Native American burial ground, play with Ouija boards and insulted a gypsy fortune teller!

Maybe you are poolkilla  ;)

No, bringing PoolKiller to this forum was the only evil thing I have done. I guess you could maybe add in the fact that I introduced my son to playing pool, setting him up for a lifetime of frustration and cue buying.

Now THAT would be an interesting plot twist. Manchurian Candidate quality.

I actually went back to edit my post from "it was me" that was responsible to "I led him here" LOL. That first line sounded a bit too much like I was saying that I was PK if the rest of the post was ignored.

I see

So there is actually a question in your post. But it isn't in the title, right ?

(Skipping over the confession and details):boring2:

Try again. I've got this.

U R Forgiven

Hey I never read the manifesto, but some of the excerpts have provided a light hearted trollaugh. I can easily see it pissing folks off, but better to get on these train wrecks late than not at all.

It was not so much a question from me, but one that the forum may have.

I will accept any beatings, to a reasonable degree. I need to have enough mobility to get to work at least.

What have you done. You're like the guy in every Aliens movie who brings one of them on the ship and it ends with everyone dead except ripley.

CreeDo was already up near the top of my favorite AZB poster list, but this post just clenched the #1 spot. :)

So funny...

I only like him because he's from New England, therefore if he gets a good table at home I have a chance to weasel some playing time from him and maybe a few free beers when I go to visit.

I'll try to refrain from cursing anyone but can't promise anything ;)

There might be some truth to the gold and scarves thing though....

Don't Curse US!!!

Oh wait, sorry, that was my stereotype gene acting up.

We'll pay you in gold, scarves and young children!!!!

And there it goes again....

I don't see any problem. I enjoy PK, he makes the forum a little livelier.

He really is good at the character he is playing. Very convincing. He is harmless, at least within the bounds of this forum.

Aside from the fact that he's not playing a character, the guy really believes that random bar rules and playing techniques should be taught. While it's good to know and be aware of them, trying to have people use those types of rules instead of the ones that the good players play by is a bit silly.

If all the posts he/they did was an act, it sure as hell was extensive, going from the multi-page document that started this whole thing, to all the various accounts on here to the emails I have before he even made his first account here.

I still think he's playing it.

And I appreciate it. It's fun to watch.
