another ebay adventure coming
i can feel it
paid the guy thru paypal immediately at end of auction
the next day he sends me an email saying " please send $75.60 thru paypal"
i replied "i already did, yesterday"
no response back
now, no replies from him, can't reach him by phone
i've left 3 messages already
i have a certain knack for finding these kind of guys :rolleyes:
i've copied & pasted the payal receipt pages to email him,
showing that is clearly says, PAID
still no reply

have you contacted paypal about this? they can investigate it and reverse the charge if its not honored.

another 25 minutes wasted on the phone with paypal & elevator music
they did confirm that the transaction is complete
he got his money
if he does not come thru, then i have to file a dispute which costs ME $25
not the guy that F***S UP the deal
already went thru that once before
and in the meantime, i'm not getting the item i paid for
should have went to lowes and got a new one for $40 more

Brent, I recently discovered that ebay ignored my email address change for the Paypal link in my auctions. As a result, when buyers click on it they send their money to an old address. Paypal already changed my email, but will NOT send an email to people wo Paypal money to bad addresses.

The solution is for the buyer to check Paypal transaction list and cancel the "pending" or "unclaimed" (I can't remember which) transaction, then send to correct address.

don't know if this applies to you.

thanks scott, but not the case here. he gave me his paypal address in person, on the phone i should say. paypal verified to me today that he has the money. when a transaction status is listed as complete, that apparenty, according to the person i talked to at paypal, means that i sent & he received. if he didn't receive it, it would say "pending".
so, as of tonight i have not heard from him via email or phone call.
maybe his dog died :rolleyes:
in the past, i've heard every excuse imaginable, I THINK
