Looking at the AZ page of Tours and Tournaments, I found there are 7 Professional Tours and 41 Other Tours. I was just wondering, what the criteria is and who makes the decision that allows or prohibits certain players from playing in these 48 tours. I'm not a tour player so I'm looking for answers.

I think I'm right :confused:when I say, most amateurs can play in what are called "Pro" tournaments........just post the entry fee and take your best shot. :o

I believe the Viking tour has the best list of who is a pro or an amatuer. Mike Janis owns the tour I believe. How he determines it is on here somewhere. I don't have time to search right now, but I'll try and find it tonight. Johnnyt

I think it has to do with how well someone finishes playing in what are considered to be Pro events, but I'm honestly not sure.
Damn good question, though!

Go to this web site and click on rules. He also has a list of who is amature, advanced, or pro.

I think it has more to do with "have you ever beat the C-player tournament director out of any cash, then you're a pro" system. LOL
