I hit a squirrel the other day. I saw it scurry off the side of the road so I backed up to make sure he was okay. He was trying to crawl up the leafy hill but couldn't quite get there. Across the other side of street was a dog so I guess he was trying to get away from him. I wrapped him in a towel and laid him in my cooler and rushed him to the animal hospital. He was taking these little breaths and looked so scared. He didn't make it. I cried for a half hour.

I'm going to regret sharing this story, aren't I?

if you would have kept it in your cooler then you could have had squirrel stew later that night. Imo.

I love squirrels.......they are great barbecued.....

Oh.....and I'm a solid C player!!!

ima squirrel friend myself as long as they leave my nutz alone.

GI Joe and Tora Bora Ted on the other hand are ruthless men, and even the prettiest squirrel is doomed for the bbq.

I am definitely a D player, and I have broke and ran 4 racks of 9 ball before. Everyone's idea is a little different, but unless a lot of pros are posting undercover... we do not have that many A players here, and I would be glad to allow any non-pro of them to match up with just about anyone I consider an A player.

You're honestly gonna change it from one request/complaint? I recall you said you thought your avatar was the best...

Others have avatars that I would prefer be removed, but yours is fine to me (and yeah, I'm female).
I'm saying it will change sometime in the future................................future

I am born again...

I was born again in 1963, fortunately, I gradually came to my senses over the course of many years. I wish you a speedier recovery.

You can find all the damn squirrels you want in my back yard.

Reminds me of a story... many years ago we had a cat, a money cat if you know what that is, she was just old enough to start feeling her oats. So she's out in the backyard and starts creeping in on a squirrel, the squirrel sees her and sprints into the bushes with the cat in hot pursuit. About 10 seconds later the cat comes tearing out of the bushes with the squirrel in hot pursuit. She never hunted a single thing again, not even a little field mouse.

You're from Boston. I think that would make you the Duke of Bunker Hill.

So you say we should break out the Aristocrats?

Okay, so a family of 5 walks into a talent agency, and says they have an act they want to take on the road. The talent agent starts saying, "hey look, every lame whack-job in the US thinks they have a talent people want to see, and I'm a very busy guy---" but the family patriarch cuts him off and says "just let us start the act, we can do it right here in your office, and after the first 30 seconds if you still think it's no good, you tell us to leave. Just 30 seconds."

The agent replies "against my better judgment, I can spare 30 seconds for you."

Immediately the father yells out, "Positions everyone!" The mom and the youngest daughter drop down to the floor and...

Wait, you probably didn't really want anyone to break out "The Aristocrats" in this thread, did you.

Oh well, back on topic:

I'm a B- player, if and only if the rating scale is defined:

Non-player
D (beginner)
C (can run open balls, has basic cue ball control, runs out occasionally)
B (controls the table, positional play usually works according to plan, always a threat to run an open table)
A (costly mistakes are rare, usually runs out or plays a very good safety)
Open (if you let them to the table, you might not get another opening this match)
Pro
World Championship Contender

So I'm pretty good for a league player, but certainly not the best league player out there, and currently the 2nd or 3rd best in my APA division (one guy's definitely better than me, and one other is debatable). Lately I've started occasionally winning sets against players who gamble (players who gamble being a fairly rare commodity in my pool hall). I never bet more than $10-20 per set, because I just don't have the gambler's mindset. In 9-ball, I run out okay, don't break-and-run very often, and my safety game is piss-poor. In 8-ball, I run out very well and my strategy is solid, but my execution needs to get more consistent to decrease the frequency of my failed run-out attempts.
