I don't like the storage facility idea. First, because you told everyone here what you do then it's pretty easy for someone to follow you and find out where your cues are kept. Then from there they can plan how to get them probably by renting a unit next to yours and easily breaking in.
I like the idea more if you don't tell everyone that's where your cues are. I still don't like it though because storage facilities are full of security holes - beginning with the underpaid employees.
I prefer to have the cues at home in a secure safe. Only most determined robber will crack your safe and since cues aren't high on the list of things that are easy to fence I'd be pretty sure that the robbers are looking for things that "seem" more valuable.
And IF someone with knowledge of what you have is planning to target your cues then they have to know that what you have is going to be hard to sell on the open market. I would invest in RFID chips similar to what goes in pets. I'd stick those things right up in the weight bolt hole and seal them in with silicone. Then your cues would be idenitifiable at any vet or with an RFID scanner.
I have often wondered about what you guys do. Jamie Michaels, brother to pro-player George Michaels used to sell gun safes that were especially outfitted for cues. No idea what he is doing now.
I'd guess that specific security measures that you collectors use is better kept to private conversation. Unless you deliberately want to let potential thieves know that they are endangering their life by trying to steal your stuff.
