How do you raise your game.

How can I raise my game when there's no tables and or no one to play.

Right now there's only one person in town that's a real challange and we are rarely in the same place at the same time. I travel a few thousand miles a month and very few tables anywhere.

What can I do? Losing interest and need a shot in the rear before I give up the idea of maintaining any kind of competitive average and just be resigned to playing 1 or 2 games a month and be happy with .400 or something.

3kushn I KNOW YOUR PAIN.I BROKE DOWN AND BOUGHT MY OWN TABLE.GO TOwww.elittepro.com CLICK ON SPIDER,GO TO BOTTOM OFPAGE.I GOT A GOOD DEAL ON A DEMONSTRATER TABLE AT THE BCS TRADE SHOW IN JULY.ALSO I LIVE IN ARIZONA AND WE HAVE A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY WITH A COUPLE TABLES BUT NEED TO CALL FOR AN INVITATION.MAYBE YOU HAVE THE SAME SITUATION IN YOUR TOWN.BCA WEBSITE HAS A LIST OF SOME KNOWN TABLES IN YOUR AREA.GOOD LUCK.

Thanks

I have a table and practice many hours a week when home. But playing by myself is only part of the program. I need competition.

Maybe I should take what I get at the pool halls and give up a big spot and do the gambling thing. I haven't gambled for many years. I didn't enjoy robbing or being robbed. But if I give up enough to make it tough to win then it's charity I suppose but could raise my interest and concentration which is the real problem with my head.

If you live in a remote place without no competition, why not use the world wide web and get yourself a downloaded version of Virtual Pool 3 and Gamespy. Although (ideally) it is not realistic, it is certainly the closest thing to it. Register for Gamespy and you will certainly get into meeting people from here in the US to people in Europe (some in Asia) who play good pool VR as well as in life. The game has 1 & 3 Cushion as well.

It amazes me that 3 cushion is slow. I just started to play again after many years and am absolutely enjoying it. Last night at Chris's in Chicago all 4 3 cushion tables were occupied most of the night! I got one by myself and within 15 minutes a player came up and asked to play to 25 points. NO money involved no BS just playing to see who wins. I did lose though 25 to 22 but it was all fun the whole time. Compliments on good shots and laughs on the back door shots that were made also.
Great time,
Dan

The exact reason I picked up the game.

www.carom3d.com has a game that is extremely accurate wrt caroms.
Easy to install, use, and play 3-cushion online with people.
It was created overseas in a carom playing country so the angles are quite accurate.
