How far would you travel for league?

I drive about 25 minutes each way, once per week. Some in our league drive an hour one way. I think I am close to my limit.. It's about 10:30 when I get home. I don't like coming home any later than that. Our team captain sends the line up the day before so I know that I will play when I get there.

I am close to two hours. I have a son and daughter on a team and both had babies the same month, so I was going to fill in for them when the grand kids were both born.

I guess the team kinda liked me, so yeah. Never considered myself a league player, but I have made a lot of friends and it is fun to show off my mini cues to other players.

In the past the only time I had to deal with 7ft tables was to step over them to get to the 9fters.
Learning curve that I have now gotten used to.

30 min to one league, and 40 min to the other. Both great leagues and lots of friends. I'm dropping the league that is 40 min away as winters can be brutal here and one league is more than I care to drive that far at night in the winter anymore. I'll really miss some of my friends at that one league.

Over the last 20 years Ive been lucky, Ive played on the same weekly league in 4 different rooms and all under 15 minutes from my home.
My limit would probably be around 30 minutes, but it better be good.

My home bar for the league I play is about 35 minutes when the weather is good. The other bars on the league are 15 to 25 minutes. Not too bad except for the nights it's snowing like hell.

I don't miss winter driving at night in Wisconsin even a little bit!

I quit leagues a long time ago. Too many C and D players that like to argue about stuff they know nothing about. When I had to spot a much better player than me, it left me.
Agree 100%. I played a lot in the early-mid 80's but the pure nittiness of a LOT of players just ruined it. Got talked back in in the early '00's, we had a killer team but halfway into season they decided they didn't want to go Vegas. I walked and haven't missed it a bit.

I live in Colorado and would play in a weekly league in Virginia, but I had to quit because the jet fuel for my private jet got too expensive.
