I don't know why you refuse to accept the CTE thing. It doesn't matter if you use 6 angles, 3 angles, or even 1 angle. It also doesn't matter if you pivot 1/2 a ball, 1/2 a tip, or 1/2 a millimeter. It also doesn't matter how far apart the balls are or where the pocket is. Just acquire the visual and pivot, and the ball goes in the hole. It is simple. When are you going to accept that? :banghead:

Well, it was a productive thread until the usual suspects (both the Hatfields and the McCoys) decided to make this thread like all the others that proceeded it.

If all of you (and you know who you are) would grow up a little, and stop trying to one-up the other, the rest of us might have a chance to learn something. Maybe not the "something" that YOU want, but something, nonetheless.

Since that isn't liekly to ever happen, we shall sit back and "enjoy" what Sean has described in the past as the long spiral into the ground of yet another thread.

Sheesh.

For fun, I just clicked on the "Replies" column header in the Main Forum section to see where this thread ranks among the other infamous "aiming system" threads. It still hasn't topped the Why CTE is Silly thread, but it is getting close. If this thread isn't shut down like the Why CTE is Silly thread was, maybe its cancerous growth can continue into perpetuity. :boring2:

We should be proud to have left such a great legacy of useful information and mature and insightful discourse in these threads as great resources and examples for future generations of AZB users. :shakehead: :sorry:

Since CTE is apparently such a difficult aiming system to master, IMO, people should try to find an easier aiming system to learn and to use.

By the way, in the "Why CTE is Silly" thread, even John Barton calls CTE a "Career Terminating Exercise." ...and he also says that "CTE does not work. By itself." Who knew?

Just me again...I see you guys have nursed this discussion [sic] to over 800 posts. I would suggest that you just keep it going... Why start a new thead, 'EVER', on aiming systems ? They ALL say exactly the same thing, with exactly the same participants (unless they are banned, lol)...You will eventually surpass the "Funny GIF pics" thread, probably in about a week, or so..

I also notice, (in your above post) that you seem to be backing off your original views on 'ASS'...Does this mean you are finally coming to your senses regarding us "Naysayers"...:grin: :grin: :grin:

No aiming method works by itself. They are tools and like any other tools they require some knowledge of how to use them coupled with practice. The more knowledge and practice one has the better able to use the tools as well as pick the tools which work best.

The reason I said Career Terminating Exercise is because of the amount of time those who advocate such methods invariably spend knocking down trolls who continually pop up like those kiddie bop-the-gopher games. You would know all about that type of person as you seem to be an expert in that type of behavior.

None of these aiming methods are difficult at all. They are relatively simple and easily shown. Trolls make them seem overly complicated because no amount of proof that they work is enough. One troll said that if Willie Mosconi himself came back from the dead and endorsed one of these aiming methods then that troll would tell Willie to go back to being dead.

So in the face of such opposition there is no way to have a productive discussion on these systems as long as trolls abound who delight in poisoning any discussion of them.

Some trolls never even post something that is on-topic. They ONLY post inflammatory off-topic insults aimed at baiting one or more people. Again I believe that you are attempting to become a leading expert in this type of troll as evidenced by your experiments in this direction.

Maybe it's because I feel that strongly about the aiming methods I cheerlead for. You have offered NOTHING of value to any of them. Why don't you just stop stalking me. Because it's HILARIOUS that you are always "working" me as they say in the trade. If AZB were a bar then you'd be one of it's barflies. You're not here to have a good time, only here to knock those that are.

Why are you pursuing this if you have no intention of trying anything other than what you use? All human action involves feel to a degree. Me typing this message to you is predicated on my ability to type, my knowledge of the methods under discussion and my mood. Naturally the more I know and the better I feel the better the answer will be.

"by itself" is what you said. did you mean that a given system wont work on every shot? if so, what types of systems are better at what shots? lighten up, these are legitimate questions to me. i never said i would never use some system. where does one system take over as another system becomes unreliable? or is it more cut and dried. thanks for your responses.
