I always ask politely for a tracking number.

No tracking number = not shipped in my book.

For what it's worth, Jay Helfert sent me a book last Monday and I got it yesterday. Exactly one week. I'm in Japan.

When I was sending alimony checks there were two times in a few years that it took over a week for the check to reach my wife, seventy-five miles away! A friend sent me a check from a foreign country, North Dakota, Priority Mail and it took eight months to get to Louisiana. I was deeply embarrassed until I saw the post mark because it was just a check. I knew by the amount it was for a custom barrel but I hadn't ordered one from my supplier in months. Turned out I had sent him the barrel long ago and he had sent the replacement check long ago too. Last time I moved I had three checks in my drawer that were "dead" checks that had been replaced because they didn't arrive in a timely manner.

Seems like you are getting a little antsy and probably annoying the guy if he has mailed the info. I'd let it cool a few weeks if there isn't anything pressing and then try a polite phone call. As you can read above, the pony express sometimes beat modern mail!

If it were a pizza, I'd say 30 minutes. Other than that, who the hell knows.
As for the polite phone call, forget it. Tell them you're from the U.S. Secret Service and you're looking for information regarding purchases made by anyone going by the name of tatto. Tell them this tattoo fellow may be involved in an international counterfieting ring and that any deliveries to him would help them to locate his whereabouts. If they seem reluctant to divulge any information, tell them the IRS is assisting in the investigation. It helps to hold a hankerchief over the phone when making the call. Glad I could help. :D

Note: For all you kids out there, please do not try this at home. Impersonating a Federal Officer is a Federal offense and is punishable by imprisonment or fine, or both.

Two weeks is way over due, hope it is not, lost, distroyed, or stolen in shipment!

Folks, I have read some bad press the last couple of days about CC here, and I want you to know that I think it was unjust, and uncalled for.
Read this reply and tell me that this man's heart isn't in the right place.
Rock on, Cowboy. :)

Even though he doesn't use the exclamation point in the right place.

It ain't his heart they are talking about, it's his head!

OK, now that I have taken my little fun poke I have to admit that the all too common piling on and pack mentality does diminish the site. I have to feel very very strongly about something to add my voice to a pack. Perhaps all of the posters did too or perhaps some didn't give much consideration to their posts. CC makes some silly posts and some that many forum members aren't interested in, all of us that post often are guilty of this sometimes.

The only threads that annoy me are the ones that the title or first line when I hover over the thread don't give me a hint that I'm not interested and then I open up a thread that is a waste of my time. I find silly posts in the middle of a serious discussion equally annoying but sometimes I am the one that can't resist a funny typo in somebody else's post.

Then there are the sub-threads that have nothing at all to do with the thread starter . . . :D

do a ma bell

on again today......no reply.......:(

Do a ma bell and whine to the cue builder about "the damned post office" and ask him to please send another copy. First copy, second copy, doesn't matter as long as you get the info.

Even better I ordered my girlfriend a Balenciaga purse from NeimanMarcus for her birthday last week. I ordered in May for an in stock item. They had some hinky stuff and long story short it never shipped out. They fixed it, overnighted it, and made it very right in my book.

Moral of the story, shit happens with mail.
