How long does it take to refurbish 4 valley pool tables?

That's the mystery. Any reputable vender will have replacement rails complete with new cushions (if necessary) and cloth with them when they arrive. Then it's just a matter of swapping them out after the bed cloth is laid. I haven't seen a vendor yet recover the cushions on site.
in this case it would likely be an on site repair? you wouldn't disassemble 4 tables at the same to for this? seems to me they are either getting new tables or getting rid of them.

Yes, I would disassemble them all. That is, if I had sets of rails already covered to swap out. Takes 10 minutes to swap out a set if you already have them ready to go. Take the old ones off, pull the Slate, recover it, drop slate back in the position, and bolt on the new rails. Done.

This is naturally assuming we're talkin about vendor tables here. Customer-owned tables will sometimes get a different treatment, because usually they want to keep the same rails they have. Unless they're putting on brand new Penguins or something like that.

And it very well could be they are getting different tables eventually. I was just covering the refurbishing aspect.

seems to me for a business you wouldnt disassemble all tables at once and take them.... you would do a couple and leave others for customers or have some replacements there until the tables got refurbished.

I guess we have to Define what refurbished means. If it's just new cloth and cushions, there's no need to take the tables anywhere. All vendors have replacement rails at their shop. They install new cushions and recover them at their shop. Then it's just a bolt on process at the location. That's the point I was trying to make. If by refurbish you mean putting on new laminate, it probably wouldn't be economically feasible.

Maybe the shop is a couple hundred miles or more from the location of the tables. If that is the case I suppose it could make sense to pick up all 4 and return all 4 at the same time to reduce drive times.

Just called the place. They said the tables will be back in a couple of weeks they would be back sooner but they have a Dart Tournament to take care of. I will keep you guys updated in a couple of weeks

Is this place in Wisconsin? I used to go fly fishing up there and going to a bar for breakfast there at 7am was a treat. I was constantly amazed at the folks that were there before me sitting with a shot and a beer! YIKES did they drink up there..

Yeah probably 3rd shifters. I have a buddy with a bar and no questions he'd shut down or atleast struggle without his morning drinkers. Go in morning and the place is packed, every seat at the bar taken.
I worked 3rd years ago and tried morning drinking once, 3 beers tore me up. Something about morning beer makes is stronger I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I used to work 3rd shift I would go eat breakfast once a month with the co-workers. Bloody mary or red beer (with clamato) is one of the few acceptable breakfast drinks. Goes well with breakfast foods. Or OJ and Vodka I guess but tomato based drinks are where it's at for breakfast. And yep, they are somehow stronger, 1 drink was plenty!

I think it has something to do with how 3rd shifters usually sleep. Even with the best plans in place day sleepers get interrupted often and over time it wears you down. Being tired and run down makes alcohol and drugs more effective from what I have seen.

Yeah sleep was terrible, 4 hours max and then usually 30 mins just before going in and yep it's amazing that no-matter how many times you tell people you'll be sleeping thru the day that they still call or just stop by and beat on the door 🤬
