I agree with Hu. Mike is not the problem, the inconsistency with pool is the problem. I voted no.

I'm not familiar with the inconsistancy problem. Can you explain?

I know that in the past decade the APA has grown over 65% (educated guess) while at the same time the Viking Tour participation and sponsorship has trippled. Additionally, there have been over 20 new tours and/pool leagues in this same time and most of them are increasing in participation and revenues to.

The only inconsistancies that I have seen are in what the vision of pro pool should be.

I probably should of been specific. Sorry. Yes, I mean pro pool. I assumed thats what you were referring to. Amateur pool is flourishing!!!!!!

Mike, I think you're a good guy, working hard to promote your agenda, The Viking Tour. But as several previous posters have cited, what is the purpose of your poll ? Are you looking for demographics... or how many people on AZB are solvent ? Without furnishing the reason for your query (or poll) please tell me what you are trying to accomplish.

I Voted Yes...... But My Answer Would Really Depend On What The Financial Plan Looked Like, And What Others Are Involved

I'd Be Good To Go, If My Evil Left Hand Would Stop Throwing Chips Into The Pot

I do not have a $1,000 to invest in some pool venture.

As a matter of fact, I really NEED $1,000 for some medicine to save my wife's life.

I know some of you think that if you sent me $1,000, I'd go straight to the poker room and play poker with it, but I wouldn't, because I already HAVE that $1,000.

Doug, Shhhh. I'm trying to get 10 investors so I can put you in the WSOP so I can use the winnings to get the US Pro Tour off the ground.

$1000

I would like to see a 'plan' and is $1000 the limit? or can you invest more?

I enjoyed reading the various comments in this thread, but when I saw this reply, for some reason I got the vivid recall of the look on Paul Newman's face in the beginning of the Hustler when the barkeep bit at the full bet. :yeah:

Yes, but I voted No. I'd be willing to bet that the APA growth slows over the next five years, as well as the other leagues. The economy is turning. Time will tell.

You are right about the economy turning but......... The stats are showing that there are bigger and bigger increases in the amount of tournament participation each year over league play.
