How many days would you allow a seller to give you the run around, with not shipping, before filing a paypal complaint?

I've sold a ton of stuff online and i usually ship things out within one business day. Other groups I've been in, some of these people have the when i get around to it attitude when i comes to shipping. I've wasted my time explaining to these people that how fast you ship effects your sales, but you trying explaining to these clowns about shipping speed.

But in your case I would wait a week tops then just open a case.

Yeah, that was actually my 1st thought. That something happened to him. The person is not into pool cues, but said he played league for maybe a few seasons, but no longer played pool, or had no time to play anymore. Family man, with a wife, and kids, and a nice big house. Very busy, from the sound of it. Also has over 1100 Facebook friends. Seems super nice too. Said he dealt in a lot of sports cards, in other facebook groups.

He was just a guy who wrote me on facebook, and told me that he had a nice Meucci that he would sell me for cheap.

He finally wrote me back this evening, and told me that he just got really busy with a project at work for a few days, and had no time.

I just hate feeling left in the dark. I do not mind waiting, but like to be in communication with the seller, or know for sure when the item will be shipped.

I been ripped off many times in the past, over the years. So, I just do not trust anyone. Lol, I know, I freaked out way too soon. I need to learn patience.

Is this some random guy on Facebook? How did he find you?

My rule of thumb is about customer satisfaction, and getting item shipped ASAP. If your a seller, do not ship within 72 hours payment, sorry I am going to have bad feeling like you a scammer.

Also it drive me nuts that went I sends someone an item, they do not take the time to say RECEIVED, NO PROBLEMS!.

What are those situations where shipping out took the longest though? That is what we are talking about: how long is reasonable to hold off on a formal complaint?

its what you agreed upon before you send payment. and tell him if coming late he must inform you immediately. if not then stop payment and cancel the sale as he doesn't keep his word and then all things are suspect with him.

if selling something it should be ready to be sent out or get packaged and sent out.

I guess just assuming that they will ship quickly was stupid, lol. He did tell me after I paid, last Sunday night, that he had some sports cards to ship to buyers the next day. But, then he got really busy with some sort of project, and had no time to ship.

He did end up shipping Thursday, after last pick up, so it went out today.

I am just so happy that it was finally shipped out.

Well, one time there was an unexpected snowstorm, and I could not even step outside for like 3 days. I kept the buyer updated every day though, while waiting for it to be safe to go out, and ship their item.

never let it go a month as then most credit cards no longer will refund. and if something cant be delivered to you long before then don't pay any money in advance. thats stupid.
You should review the Fair Credit Billing Act.

60 days from the statement date, which is always later than the transaction date.
