King cobra, I understand SVB or other pros would not go out of their way to play lesser players, but if they had no "incentive" or willingness to ever play someone way less skilled, then they have forgotten, they too, were once a lesser player. If SVB frequented same pool hall as me and wasn't practicing or matching up and I was only player in room and he refused to play ever,well that would be assholish on his part imo. It's about love of the game too! Let me add I know I'm a peon in pool world and know pros don't worry about what I think

Yes, you're right. At one time they were all beginner players, but what you and everyone else fail to understand, is that they have ALL put in the time on the table to become who they are today, the players they are today, and it's such a shame to them and this industry that they are barred from so many local player tournaments, yet are FORCED to play against so many lesser players today who all feel they have a right to play against the best in the world in tournaments that should be for the Pro's only, the entry fees are needed from anyone willing to put up the money to build a pot of gold to even have such events...even if the lessor players can't run a single rack of balls! Nothing has ever stopped the lessor players from putting in their time on the table to become an upper level player, but they'd rather just jump to the head of the line, pay the entry fee to a major event, and live out their dream, without having to put in the time. If it were up to me, no one would ever get a chance to play a top Pro, except another top Pro, and Pro events would be just that, Pro's ONLY, everyone else could just sit back and watch the best of the best playing their hearts out for a guaranteed payday, even if the lost in the first round. But, unfortunately, this industry is controlled and manipulated by the world full of lesser players, which is why this industry has never come together in order to actually draw a line in the sand that indicates on the left side of the line stands the top 128 players in the world, and on the right side of that line is where the chairs are, the computers, the cell phones and what ever else is needed in order to view the best in the world compete against each other until there is one champion, who represents the best this sport has to offer! And if all the dreamers out here don't find themselves on the left side of that line, then I guess they know where their place is without a doubt!....but, that's just MY opinion:thumbup:
