How many people use this chalk?

A fellow AZ'er gave me this chalk to try out. He said it cost like 4.00 a cube...How many people use this chalk? Do you notice anything better about it?

Or do you just use what the pool room provides?
I have recently used some tan chalk and really like that, because it doesnt stain as bad as the blue or green chalk....Any thoughts?

I got railed because I said I used Tan chalk, and people put a hit out for me, don't do it! lol. I like tan chalk as well because of the staining reason, but now, I just use whatever, and after a good wax job and keeping my hands clean and chalking the right way, I don't see any bluing or greening of the shaft. As for BD chalk, it is a love it or hate it deal. Some say they can tell the difference, some say they are the same, but I don't think I have the skills to actually tell the difference, since either way, the shot is going to be missed lol. As far as I know, masters chalk is doing its job, and it is 4 for 12 pieces, and not 4 for just one. IMHO "F**K THAT!"

Well, I am gonna buy some tan chalk....if someone wants to bash me for it....well bash on brutha...They are just gonna get beat by someone who uses Tan chalk....now, If I used Tan chalk and glove....I prolly wouldnt show my face at any reputable pool room:thumbup:


The 4.00 a cube is crazy to me..but to each thier own..we each have our vices...I bought a 9500.00 Drum Workshop drumset 3 yrs ago and people thought I was crazy..lol:thumbup:
 
I started carrying some BD chalk recently...to me, it works better than masters chalk in humid conditions. It could just be in my head thought :eek:
 
The BD Chalk does seem to go on the tip more smoothly......havnt really noticed it stays on longer, but that wouldnt matter to me since I chalk before each shot anyways...

Yea I agree...I mean, I have used some crappy chalk before...so I always have me 4-5 pieces of Masters blue chalk in my case just for the times when a pool room only puts out crappy chalk...but honestly, I cant see paying 4.00 a cube when I can buy a new cube of blue master chalk at my local pool room for .75 a cube. And it has always done me good

no people gave you a hard time because you screamed at your friend for using the wrong chalk. i remember that thread
 
From the time I first heard about this chalk, I've wanted to try it... but I am not going to pay $4 for a single piece of chalk... Master chalk is just fine.
 
Cute case

I am down with Sang Lee chalk because of the cool plastic case. Chalk works good but cant tell the dif from Masters Blue. You can get chalk free at your local room...4 bolas a cube is shopping on Rodeo Drive.
 
Reason Blue Diamond is $4 a cube is it's made in Europe.
That means it's probably made by union members and therefore there is the high euro/hour, the union retirement fund, it probably get VATed (value added taxed), export taxed,etc etc etc.
Lucky it's ONLY $4 a cube.
 
Brotha. I hope you honestly give it a chance. I think it is a perfect addition to your ST. To have a special cue with a special hit like that deserves only the most expensive chalk..!!! :thumbup: I know it seems a bit pricey, but depending on the type of person you gotta look at the quirky things people do to go the extra mile not just in pool, but in life in general. In golf, I spend the extra $5 per grip just to get the good grips on my clubs. Just take a look at the cost of Snipers and Kamui's. Now that is one area I would NOT spend more money in cause I am happy with Hercules. It just depends on the person's opinions and the reasons they have for the things they do and why they use what they use. There are so many personal preferences. It's all so incredibly subjective. To each his own!!!

I swear I wasnt gonna bust you out o our fellow Azers...I promise;) No, I really do appreciate the chalk...I have used it and I do like it. I let a cpl people try it at our pool room and they were afraid to use it:eek: I am not afraid to try anything..if it makes my game better, im all for it...

I am gonna put one of your Milk Dud tips on my Wal Mart cue this week and give it a whirl....Im sure it will improve my game by at least 2 balls:thumbup:
 
I make my own blue diamond chalk and it costs less than a 1/8 of buying it.
 
Blue Diamond is marketed by Longoni but made in the USA. It currently sells for $6.50 for two cubes here. I think it's better than Master chalk, but maybe it's just my imagination, runnin away with me.....

Nope, it's made right here. Says so on the cube or the box, I forget which. Longoni, an Italian company, outsources the manufacturing to some company in the USA. I can guess which one.

Actually, I personally use a handkerchief embroidered with my initials in gold lettering to wipe my ass too ~~~~~ :killingme:

Blue Diamond Chalk

Blue Diamond Chalk is a little better than all other chalk. Is it worth 3.75 - 4.00 a cube? To me it is. I'm not going to miscue if I forget to chalk once or twice 99% of the time. I do try and chalk everytime but sometimes I forget.

Triangle tips are very good tips but Kamui's are better. Triangle tips are less than a 1.00 and the Kamui's are 15.00 - 20.00. Are Kamui's worth it - to me they are.

Blue Diamond and Kamui's or Master and Triangle's. You choose.
