I couldn't agree more about having many different sets of balls to keep the games interesting - whether it be for solo practice or social get-togethers or better yet - to satisfy the competitive urges every now and then
What really started my (almost) obsession with ball sets was once I had the opportunity to finally put together my own home billiards room, I began recalling those nearly lost, fond memories of all the games I played in the good old days of a small SD smokey snooker room - complete with the quintessential counter boy of the room's owner, to the guys moving balls around that were born in the late 1800's! They would often mumble about games they played overseas while on military assignments or adventurous travels - and boy were those stories ever mesmerizing.....especially as a youngster of 5 years old hanging with Dad and skipping school on snowy days. So here's where it has taken me....
Aramith Tournament
Super Aramith PRO-CUP Snooker - English 2.25"
Aramith Premier 68mm Russian Pyramid
Aramith Casino/Blackball 2.25"
Aramith Premier - with added balls 16-21 for a complete Baseball set w/triangle
Scratchball set - Aramith balls
Crown Games Poker set
Aramith Camouflage
Aramith Great White
All Stripes 9-ball set
World Series Baseball set between the 2011 Rangers and Cardinals - game 7 rematch!
Unnumbered set of Solids and Stripes
Choke
And my own custom Aramith game sets for what I call KRazy Snooker & Perfect
Numerous fun balls like a special 7-ball; reverse color 8-ball; golden 8-ball; Aramith snake and leopard 9-balls and on and on and on
And don't even ask what my wife says about me having all of these balls - because "one set is all you really need"
Oh - and of course one would most certainly need to have a collection of history and rule books to accompany all of those sets ----- and various score cards and record-keeping miscellany. Oh, I need therapy ---- wait! I have that covered! I have a pool table. Woohoo!
