The bars I go to are $1. I've recently seen a lot of new tables that accept a dollar bill, but the games are $2 . The only good thing about these tables is that the cue ball is the same weight and size as the other balls. The tables actually have a sensor that detects the cue ball.
One pretty decent place here in town is still .25. He keeps the tables maintained and the cloth (simonis) is always in good shape. He has owned the room for years, and loves pool and appreciates the players.
The "gambling" room has all Diamond bar tables, kept in excellent shape. They are .50 per game.
Most regular bars in the area are .75 or 1.00, but I never frequent those places.
Here in Ar.
Most 7 footers (bar box) are 75 cents.
some places charge a dollar.
you won't find very many 50 cent ones
( mabey an old vfw or an "old timer" bar)
In Mi. mostly 4 quarters. Private lodges range from 1 to 3 quarters. Some places are installing dollar bill collectors. I guess it will be easier to raise the price.
Most of the tables in this area are a buck.
I've not shot on a quarter table in long enough that I don't pay much attention to them. I'd rather have the guys at Leisure Time open up one of the tables & play all day for $6.00 (Monday & Wednesday). Yes, that's from 10AM until 2AM. That's a MUCH better deal than you could ever get on a quarter table.
