How Many Racks?

I saw Steve Morre run 11 racks on Bar Box

I like Steve Morre's game. I had only heard of him until he came out of hiding for the IPT. Johnnyt

What is the record for racks of 9-ball B&R on a 7 foot bar box. Johnnyt

The most I've ever heard of is 28 by Paul Turner. Details are fuzzy...

The most I ever witnessed was 17 by some random road-player whose name I still don't know. He was down 5 games playing $20 a game with a good player and when he ran the 17th rack in a row the other player quit. Only because he ran out of dough. He said later if he had $500 more he'd of let the road agent run out for the next couple days just so he could say he saw it. Keep in mind I did see this and this guy never made the 9 early the whole time!!! It was quite a site...

Hemicudas told the story of the time he and Bill Stack were on the road and Clyde Childress put 14 on Stack before they pulled up.

I'm sorry I even mentioned 2 measly racks after reading the number of racks these guys that you all put up ran. I think I'll go for the record in 6-ball....maybe three ball.Johnnyt

Buster Merchant

I heard in 1988 Buster never missed a ball, i mean literally he went the entire year without ever missing a ball! Just run out, run out, run out, run out, for months and months..

I heard he ran out until the money ran out. That's what they say, but who knows ...

I got this from another site, so if anyone ever talks to Paul Turner they can ask him if he really did this.

Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Cue: Custom by California John
Notable: Ran 26 racks of 9-ball on a bar box playing Don Ballard!

Over 20 racks

David Matlock 26 or 28 (heard this from several sources and I have no reason to doubt it even if he still won't admit losing to Amang on the small track)

Paul Turner 26 (heard this from a couple people, but my only two experiances with Mr. Turner is my strong shorstop friend winning a dime even and watching the snake dismantle him)

Danny Medina 22 and 24 (He was a monster for quite some time I believe it I watched him run around 10-12 on the box once or more details are fuzzy)

ReRack Jack Hynes 20, 18, 17 and some other teens (I seen the 17 in Akron Ohio I also watched him give a shortstop the blue through 2-9 and run the first 12 for $20 a game until the cue ball kicked in)

Antonio Lining 20+ (I seen a 13 and about six 12's)

It puts my 7 pack in perspective. When I ran 7 I felt like I couldn't miss what a diffrence 10 years make

Hey Huckster, if you knew Jack Hynes, you knew about how he'd break the balls and send the cue ball high in the air and it would park in the middle of the table ... When Jack was er "right" he shot straighter than Wyatt Earp!

Im happy with my 2 racks in a row :D:D But then again I havent been playing serious that long and Im still learning!

The best shotmaker I seen 90 miles an hour and the cueball would always go multiple rails. If ever would have played safe he couls have been top 10 in the world playing 9 rocket
