have you ever caught yourself holding at one time? i am crusing along the other day and started to move the next step of cue constructing, i look down, i was holding in my left hand, a set of lathe pins, an allen wrench, a chuck key and razor knife.
i think at that time my brain must have been in the cue building zone

Yeah I can relate. But just wait until you look in your hand and find the item you just spent a few minutes looking for.

What, like waking upstairs to get more icetea and have calipers in my back pocket and a center finder square in my other back pocket... get back downstairs and cant find the calipers or the square? Nah don't know what you mean lol

@ Chris been there, you have that dead center in your hand and you tear through a box looking for it only to poke yourself in the forehead with it 20 mins later.

It's not my left hand... It's my right rear pocket. I have caught myself looking for a tool I just had, only to find it in my pocket... and I have to empty my pockets before I leave thew shop. As I get older I find that I do spending more and more time looking for stuff that I just had in my hand. ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!:eek::rolleyes:

chris

wait until you start wearing glasses. i looked 20 min for my glasses the other morning, before going back into the bathroom for the 2nd time, then i noticed that guy in the mirrow was wearing his.

Been there more than one time. DUH Mode

Been there Myself more times then I can count. Have also done what Chris mentioned, looked all over for something that was in My hand from the start. Kind of like looking for a pair of shades that are on your head.

Hereafter

Yeah I can relate. At my age I also find myself thinking about the hereafter a lot more. I walk to a different part of my shop to get something, and as soon as I get there I'm thinking "What the hell am I hereafter!"

I frequently put my glasses on my fore head and walk around the house in a panic looking for them. Until I look in the mirror and find them.

Todd, as we get older and considering the business we are in, we accumulate more stuff and it get increasingly easy to misplace
something in the shop.

Yet, I can't count the many times I have also been looking for an essential tool in near panic because I need to use it, only to find it
right in front of my eyes.

I bought a new truck battery today, I near ripped apart the garage looking for the battery carrying strap only to find it hanging on a hook on the wall. Beat that one.

I like

that Fran Crimi said where she looked all over the Pool room, under every table, trying to find her case and cue, and it was right on her shoulder the whole time.

Or your looking for your pencil to mark something only to find it's been behind your ear the whole time...happens at least once...ok ...twice a day...lol
