Don't worry, the poll is private

The first option is obviously if you gamble cheap with people you know well enough that don't bother making you post, or if you don't gamble at all.

There is an ATM at the poolhall if I need the cash. A $3 charge to use a non-bank ATM is fine when I have 100 times that on the table.

I bring the long green but I won't let you beat me out of more than a hunert... Now you can lose whatever you want shooting at it :p

LOL

I treat my cash like poker chips. I want every one to see i got chips. I also want a good size roll just incase i get a sweet bet. But at the same time i will get a little antsy to gamble with a good amount of cash. I like to play cheap makes my bank roll look bigger
.

Always over a hundred. I'm willing to play any unknown but won't usually lose more than $100 unless the game was set up beforehand. Last weekend I had a lot on me and it came in handy. I backed a guy who was light for $50 a rack and we did well. Since all our halls closed it's nearly impossible to get action like that. I miss that big time.

That's funny cuz I know more than a few guys that "don't gamble" that carry MUCHmore than those that do.....

Then again, that may just be the reason they still have all that money

I normally carry as much as I can when I venture out, and I don't even gamble. I've just always been willing to buy just about anything when people need money. Over the last 10-15 years I've managed to buy 20+ higher end cues from people who are busted in the pool room.

I've also bought more guitars and amps then I can count, and a couple of cars. I guess I'm kind of a vulture in this regard.

Nowadays with the proliferation of ATM's it's not as important, but it's just a habit I have. Good deals sometimes only last a few minutes, so always be prepared.

a more worthwhile poll might be how much cash do you put in action at the pool hall?

I usually bring whatever I have with me. I don't really want to assume that I can count on someone at the poolroom to front me if I left money at home. If they did they would probably want 70% or something just for loaning it to me and then wouldn't even tip so if I have it, I just bring it just in case.

doesn't matter now

For years I might have all my money in my pocket or at least the day's take from my business. I carried a pretty fair roll and I carried it in my front jeans pocket, other than the change from a twenty hanging out my t-shirt pocket. With a little luck I would have money in several pockets and my boots before I was done. I lost a wallet or two over the years, never a pocket, so there was no cash in my wallet other than a hundred dollar bill that wasn't for spending.

One night I was in a big dark bar and there was a guy staring at me from the other side of it and I was staring back. It looked like Claude, but I couldn't be sure I hadn't seen him in four or five years. Finally said the hell with it, if it ain't I'm gonna kick his ass for staring at me for two hours. It was my old friend, said he wasn't sure it was me either until I got close enough he saw the money in my t-shirt pocket. We were both too lazy after a long day to go see if it was the other one!

When I got to where I was doing pretty fair gambling I started taking only twenty dollars every night. I generally had $1500-$2000 at the house and more in the bank by the late seventies and early eighties but leaving the house with twenty bucks made things more interesting. I might be gone a night or four or five days, still left with twenty in my pocket. I knew where to pump up and might drive a hundred and fifty miles or more a night hitting the spots until I got action. Gas under a dollar a gallon made twenty dollars a lot more than it is now and I usually had a tank and a half or two tanks of gas in my truck to feed a thirsty 454 when I left home. When I left a place in a hurry I was gone in a hurry!

Don't gamble and hardly ever use cash anymore.
Every week at league I'm like... "ugh, the one time a week I need cash".

It's kind of mindblowing to think that a person can damn near go their whole live anymore without using physical money. Think of the money we'd save if we didn't have to print it :P

I carry two wallets. One has cash and the other has drivers license and other important stuff like insurance cards. I carry just enough so If I get held up I throw the one with cash and beat feet and the guy gets enough for his fix. Picked up this habit when working in the ghetto.

Not very much , just not a cash handler anymore.

Don't carry a wallet usually either , nothing more than a money clip IF needed and then $50-$100 in cash probably at most.

There's always an ATM somewhere and I'm usually fortunate to have people around willing to toss in for me.
