If I bought a brand new Gold Crown 4 or 5, what is the best price you have seen on 1.

Also, how much does a brand new Valley Bar box cost..

Thanks and sorry for the silly question

Shawn

why bother with "brand new" ?

Ive seen some rediculous deals on tables (including GC's & Vally's) on craigslist...

Ive seen GC's as cheap as 1500 and Valleys as cheap as 800 on there...

Try using any number of free software programs that monitor multiple CL markets and send you alerts everytime a keyword like "brunswick" or "valley" comes up... say within a 300 mile radius of you... If you don't want to DL the software use a site like searchtempest.org that allows you to search many CL markets at once... If it saves you several grand why not?

Its a new pool hall, trying to get rough estimate on what it would cost to replace a brand new pool table is all.

I guess what are the details befind the question ?

I only ask because , yeah , table are SOooooo much cheaper used if you really need to buy one. But if there are other reasons you ask then the answer could be anywhere from MSRP to new factory seconds/warranty/refurb.

Its for insurance purposes....I have to put a value on the tables in the pool hall...

I've seen (somewhere) brand new Valley barboxes for $2000. I really think it was the Mueller's catalog, but I'm not sure.

I've seen those ads for $1995.00 also. My gueass is you won't get it from any of them w/o adding another $500 to it. I was going to call a few but my blood pressure has been good lately and I want to keep it that way. I can't stand to talk to salemen. Johnnyt

According to Brunswick, their price is 9,748.00 for the V. For the IV would no longer be new, but they can be purchased from around 2K to 3.5K in fairly decent condition from what I'm finding doing searches on the internet.

If this is for insurance, you'll want to give your sources. GC V will be easy, since it's being sold now. GC IV will be a little more speculation, and you'll probably need to go with a mean number. Somewhere in the middle of what you'll find out there.

My suggestion would be to spend about an hour searching, on the internet, and getting a bunch of links together that you'll be able to send to the insurance adjuster, with the costs. Hope this helps.

I think it depends how good your insuance is...no? Johnnyt

Yeah. Your coverage is usually either replacement value or cash/physical/actual value.

One is what they pay you to buy a new one , which should be around current retail value of a modern comparable replacement (better coverage) the other is it's current actual value , what you could sell it for now (lesser coverage) and will not usually get you another table in case of a loss.

Shawn

go to valley and get a written quote .if you are going to have 8 valley ,get a quote for 8 valley.same with the gold crowns and anything else you are going to have in the room.do everything in written quotes.bundle it as individual and total for contents for replacements.allways remember that for a poolroom if you have a fire the fire dept is going to hose the whole place not just a spot.they dont care about your stuff.

And $10,348.00 for one with a ball return!

Seriously, not trying to hijack this thread, but that is absolutely insane. I would ask how they sleep at night, but my guess is that they sleep on beds of pure cash.

> I've read on here somewhere that the GC-V TOURNAMENT edition (4.5 pockets vs stock standards) is like 11-12k full retail, but actual street price may be less.

For that reason alone there are only a few reasons I can think of why ANYONE would buy a new GC vs a new Diamond.

They WANTED the Brunswick name and just happened to like the GC best.

Some with deep pockets that just liked the GC better, but has regular access to a Diamond. Picture a decent but not hardcore player, with a sweet job and buys a table for the house.

Pool room owners that may be getting a sweet deal on a lease and can get the tables installed quicker by the dealer.

Someone that went looking for a Diamond, but got talked into buying a GC by a skilled salesperson.

Even at the 9-something figure someone above mentions, you save just over 2k buying even a brand new Diamond Pro,and get the matching lights and chairs to boot. The same Brunswick setup with their high-end light and chairs is probably close 15k delivered.

This is just one reason why Diamond is getting bigger all the time, and I bet they aren't selling many GC's at their price point.

Diamonds are generally considered to play tougher, are said to be easier to work on,and of a higher build quality than Brunswicks, plus they do a lot for the game, not that Brunswick hasn't.

At the same price I'd take the GC personally. At current prices Diamond wins every time. If we're talking a refurb/tournament used table,my decision would be based on the conditions of the tables in question.

I'm basing this all on the Diamond Pro model vs the GC-V,not the Smart Tables or the Pro-Am. I'd play on those if they were available here, but wouldn't buy either of those models. Tommy D.

10, brand new Valley Bar Box
1, old Brunswick Medalist 10' Snooker Table
7, 9' Gold Crown II
10, 8' Brunswick Medalist tables
1 old brunswick table that I cant find the model of.
