How much does your cue weigh?

I have tried many different weights of cues. I have found with my stroke (long and loose) that I get in stroke easier with a 19.5oz maybe a shade more. It seems that weight give me the smoothest pendulum. What do you guys/girls play with?

18 breaker

I play with a 19oz. For many years I played with 20... then went to 19.5.
I liked that weight, but decided to go down a little bit more. I'm sure 19 will be as light as I will go. I'm happy with that weight.

The RAT 3 cue I use in my bar league is a 19.2 oz. cue. My break/jump cue is 19 oz.

My Cue

IM A BIG GUY 290ish AND I HAVE FOUND THAT I PLAY BETTER WITH A LIGHTER CUE MY

SATIN FINISHED SW 18 1/4
PREDATOR P2 18 3/4

My Paul Mottey weighs in at 22.5 and I can't decide if it is too heavy. -- maybe I need to lose some weight :D :D :D

I love the way it plays but often think I should have a lighter cue. Suggestions would be appreciated.

My Predator and main player is 19

My bar player/custom true sneaky is 18

Personally I think that balance is more important to me than the weight of the cue...

Cue weight

I used to play with a 21oz cue but as my stroke got better I moved down and down to 19.5oz which is what I've been playing at for awhile now. :D

Kinda on and off the subject; I play with a Joss East with a predator 314-2 shaft. 19 oz. I want to try a lighter cue,{18.5}. What do I need to do to keep from spending 3 or 400 bucks to get the weight down to 18.5? Thanks for any replies.

Ditto Dave. For me, if the balance and shaft taper is right, I can play with anything that begins with 19 :D . My preferrence is 19.5 now, but my old JossWest is 20.5, and back in the day it was 21, but Bill Stroud took a little weight out of the butt. All my new cues (too many) begin with 19...Tom

16.75 oz. The weight is perfect for me. It is so light I never think about the cue when it is in my hand, it is like an extension of my arm.

My break cue is ~18 oz.

roughly 18-19. I can shoot with a 20 but it takes some time to get the speed control down. I prefer 18 and have recently been considering something lighter.

How can you tell how much your cue weighs if you're unfamiliar? I recieved a Players Cue - D-21FR - (Flames) as a gift. I'm pretty sure that it is a 20 oz., but I'm not positive. I don't see anything obvious on the cue telling me what the weight is.

Easiest way for me was to find a postal scale. Goodluck!

I have a 32oz cue at home that I practice stroking with. The cue that I shoot with is 21oz. As for a break cue, I try to find the lightest cue on the wall:rolleyes: .
