As long as I have been following AZB, the PI players, their stables, and pool books I've never heard what % the top PI players take home after take out by their stables and U.S taxes. This question has been asked a few times on AZB with no answer ever given. If the stables want it to be off limits hush, hush I don't want to hear of anyone getting hurt by answering on this thread. It's in no way that important to me. Johnnyt

Well, I'm like 3andstop. I don't know what the hell a PI is either so let's just keep this on the QT amongst the three of us. :)

It's pretty hush by me I guess cause I don't even know what a pi stable is. :scratchhead:

Most of the top tier Pinoy players belong to one of the stables. I'm sure the stables pay travel and such when their players play in tournaments out of their country. Reyes, Busty, Carlo, Lee Van etc. Johnnyt

So why didn't you say that in the first place? :)

It's actually a lisp, like this:

"I'se swant sto splay spool, sbut sonly son sthose stables."

The PI thing is 3.14, and is related to what percentage of people actually talk like this. Or, it's an exclamation and a movie -- "for the Life of PI!"

:p

PI stands for "Philippine Islands", sort of.

Johnny, I know Lee Vann has been funding his recent trips, so he keeps everything he wins. I don't know about the World Cup Of Pool though, he could have been sponsored by a private or a government entity...

OK, thank you. Johnnyt

JohnnyT,

Why are alot of your posts regarding money that pros make? I'm just curious.

I like what they make and how much it cost them to compete for the few young men on here that don't get it and are going to throw away school for pool. Years ago if you didn't mind hard work and/or were street smart you could make a living at a blue collar job or start your own small business and support a family comfortably...not so much today.

i know some of the stables dropped a bunch of players so theyve been funding their own trips or getting help from american players/stakehorses
