How Much to Stretch Granito M?

Hey it was a simple question which you refuse to answer, I am not trying to insult your intelligences or be disrespectful please follow suit!!!:)

I have set up tables in homes of those guys that play in those tournaments so explain why i should set them up different.

If you read thru the thread you might have noticed we've been talking about pocket tables, not carom tables even tho this started as a 3c thread.
But for everyones education please provide a reference or link that stipulates how cloth should be installed on slate for 3c tournament use.

Here is some information for you that may help, the 2010 National 3-Cushion Championship will be held here in Washington, State at the Tacoma Elks lodge, I am currently getting ready to order the Simonis 300 from Simonis in Chicago like I have done for a number of year's for all their events.

Here is a link that identifies where this tournament will be held.

Also you can talk with Bob Jewett here on the forum, he is on the board of Directors for the USBA, here is a link that shows this.

Call the Tacoma Elks Lodge at 1-253-272-1117 and ask for Darell Stutesman the Tournament director ask him what the requirements are, I am certain he will break it down for you.:)

Hope this helps you understand that there is a difference between the way people require 3-cushion tables to be done, I am surprised Glen did not tell you that.

Good try but as a business owner i do not give personal info out. Craig, seriously try and relax before you stroke out or something!!

Don't worry about me I am fine, all I have tried to do is put the correct information out there so that if there are any Billiard players reading this they can ask some intellegent questions when some one covers their home table.
If you had named anyone it would have been very embarrassing for you, because denial is not a river in Egypt!! So at least I have to give you some credit your smarter than that, but it also certainly proves my point!!!:)

Are any of the guy's listed in the USBA Player Ranking who you were talking about, here is a recent list just to help you out, you see dropping name really isn't personal information unless it isn't true.:)

http://www.usba.net/Rankings/2009PlayerRankings/Rankings-11-30-09.pdf

Oh and by the way this information is not secret, so please put up or you know what to do.

This is too funny! I guess the whole forum knows this guy. I have gotten 23 reps telling me what a ahole this guy is. I appreciate it guys but i think craig is actually a good guy!

I have no interest in calling anyone and there is obviously nothing written in the USBA rules that prohibit glue use.

FTR there were many that blew off scotchgrip until its' effectiveness was demonstrated to the Alsip group. Unless you give it a go you can't make an informed comparison.

Well John if they show up for the Nationals next month, I will ask them if they know you and how the Glued Cloth on their tables is holding up. If they don't show up I will get their contact information and contact them, then start a thread either proving or dispproving your claims.:)

Have a nice day!!

Care to put a wager on this?????? PLEASEEEEE. Never said their tables were glued by the way. they are stapled but imo the new gluing method is stronger.

Why are you not answering the others questions?

While your right there is nothing in the USBA rules that defines how a table must be covered or even what must be used, cloth or otherwise, there are requirements for how far the balls must travel on new cloth. I can also guaranty that the tables in the up coming 2010 National 3-Cushion Championship will not have glued cloth. You may be right scotchgrip may be great for 3-cushion tables but, I will never try it for 3-Cushion until it used for the National Championships.

Until then I will agree to disagree.:)

FINALLY!!! LOL. yes we will agree to disagree! But seriously craig why would anyone not experiment BEFORE a large venue. This method had come from lots of trial and error. Remember when cloths were tacked on?
I know you do!:)

Simonis 300 Rapid is a little expensive to experiment with, I kinda think that when something isn't broken there is no reason to fix it.

But, what happened to the wager you were talking about, I love a good bet!!!

snooker

one simple question...is it recommended for 300 cloth be reused/stretched again if table has to be moved?----

Note for Glue-Down Installations
Simonis cloth can be glued, but only with certain adhesives. Spray adhesives, including 3M Super 77™ WILL NOT hold the cloth.
We recommend 3M Fast-Bond10™ for glue-down installations. Currently, we are not aware of any other adhesives that will give proper adhesion for a straight edge-glue install.

3M Fast-Bond 10 is now available from Simonis.
Call for details - 800-746-6647 or 847-360-9029

DIRECTLY from simonis site. Check it out! I GUESS simonis already EXPERIMENTED with it huh?LOLLOL

Whether you agree or disagree is your perogative.
Personally I wouldn't be experimenting on a national championship table.
The smart money would try the technique beforehand.

Like any other cloth, if in good condition it can be reused provided it's not beat up and abused by artistic guys and masse-nuts.
Since 300 is finished on both sides you can also shake it out and flip it.
