How Should I Handle This?

I paid someone March 21st to make a shaft for me. I emailed him April 14th and he said "Your shaft should be complete in about a week or so.
I will send some pics later in the week.". I didn't get any pictures or an update yet. I don't want to keep bugging him but want to know the status of my shaft. Anyone have a suggestion that doesn't make me look annoying? Should I care if I'm annoying? I'm getting real itchy to see and use it. Is there a "waiting for my shaft" support group? I've heard of beard growing support groups, but would really like one for this matter at hand.

Be patient lol
I know that it's hard as I am waiting on an entire cue right now, but you have to be patient.

He should live up to his words. If he said he was going to send something, he should have kept his word.

I'm not sure who you ordered it from, but patience and understanding is always the best way to go.

I think a lot of people fail to realize that a lot of cuemakers have real jobs and real families that they have to do. Plus they have to maintain their own equipment answer their e-mails and phone calls etc etc. Maybe he had a leaky roof to fix or his lathe went down and he had to wait for parts or his child got sick or his regular job made him work overtime, it could be anything that cause these guys to be late. If he's a reputable maker, he can't be lazy and taking his sweet ole time.

That's my take on it anyway.

Here's the email I would send:

Dear blank,

I know you're very busy but I was wondering if you could go ahead and send that picture you mentioned; I'm really excited about seeing my first custom shaft.

Thank you so much,
blank

Then, if he has anything to say about how he's not ready to or something, you can say, "Oh, I just figured you could send it since you said you'd send it last week."

If that's not your first custom shaft, just substitute 'it'.

Good luck!
