How thick is the cork wraps...

Just wondering how thick cork wraps are and do they come in different thickness.
It's as thick as the wrap groove is deep. That would normally be .025...JER
The stuff I have used was pretty thick and had to be sanded down after installation. I rub out my cues before I install a wrap so it's sort of tough sanding the edges near the finish down without touching the finish but is doable and turns out great.

At the time I never had a drum sander and now have a technique that gets them very close to perfect without much danger of contacting the finish. It's very difficult to feel where the finish ends and the wrap starts. The drum sander would be good for getting it close though. That drum sander may one day pay for itself after all. I bought a new 6" joiner last month for squaring insert wood for half splice points. It does a bad job on figured maple causing a lot of tear out so two days later I drove to Dayton OH and bought a Performax 16X32 Drum sander. On the way back to Cincinnati the van quit and I had to be towed and new fuel pump for 600.00. Between the van, the joiner and the sander it was an expensive week getting equipment that I really didn't need as I was squaring this wood perfectly well on the CNC. I just can't pass up a chance to spend money on new tools.
