Sure hope it's not, That.

The part where you offered to leave Dave alone.
Should I take an oath? Would uh let's see....Do my best to not stump the Doctor? No that can't be it. Am I banned from speaking to or Of the Doctor? So are there sentence guidelines.
I sure hope eye pokes are not allowed.

Well, I do my best to be respectful. I do get excited when I know the answer. 😉 I have a weakness for standing up for what I know to be right. And or Wrong. 🤷‍♂️
Okay an example, caution it's a long Grampa story:
Way back when I was in high school (66-69) , playing football and baseball were my first two sports. Our football coach was world class at football and took a team that had not won a game in 2 + years to a 31 game winning streak. He taught me football and I achieved All League as a senior. All league center at 155 lbs. 🤷‍♂️ He was a great football coach. Our small school budget had him coaching baseball as well my senior year. He knew little about the sport. I had world class baseball coaching since 8 years old and was catcher, the field general. I was also the best hitter on the team and had hit the wheel in competition. So when Coach McHargue was hitting balls to the outfield with runners on, he was directing My outfielder to throw the ball to the wrong base. When I corrected him as diplomatic as I could, he got butt hurt. At the next game the clean up spot that I usually held was awarded to the first to raise their hand. My protest was to refuse to raise my hand for any of the remaining spots.
Sooooo let me apologize, 🤔 hard not to be sarcastic. As It seems to be my nature. Damn can't think of a legit apology. Sorry for that. 🤷‍♂️
Hope I don't lose my privileges. 😉

My mental checklist/list of tips for severely jacked up shots:

1. Keep it simple for shot selection. If you need to jack up, avoid sidespin or power shots unless absolutely necessary.

2. Extra focus/deliberation on the PSR when stepping into the shot to ensure proper clearance and distance etc.

3. Stay extremely still once down
-> To achieve this, put extra focus on your stance being balanced/solid once down on the shot, similar sort of thing you'd want to do for long pots.

4. CB last on shot address, to minimize missing the target on the CB since there's a greater risk for that with less balance and a distorted view of the shot from being elevated.

Didn't watch the video yet, but I guess some of these points are on there :)

A legitimate on topic post. Shrug. At the 6 minute mark in the linked video Kyren employed a uncommon but acceptable method to gain extreme elevation at long distance. Notice the stance as well.

One very important part to get more accurate jacked up shots that is often overlooked is feet.
If you make your jacked up shots stance so you keep your front leg locked and get legs aligned same line to shots you can get your upper body same way as normal stance.
Many pros do it this way. I learned this from famous British Snooker Coach. He said it dynamic stance.
Back leg just heel or toes touches floor lightly and keep you in balance.
At around 4:30 Mark you can see example of that. That is just slighty elevated shot but i still use this dynamic feet position.
Try this Dave!
Building the stance around the front leg is great when jacked up past a certain point. Neils goes into detail how he does it in the vid below. I really like this way of getting into an elevated shot stance.

A couple of local pros often switch to their break cue when jacked up against a cushion or over a ball. Both had different reasoning. One said the shaft is stiffer, and tip harder enabling him to hit softer and with less potential for error (he also screws a tiny weight off the end first), the other said the harder tip makes him concentrate more on hitting a single point on the ball to avoid miscue.

I tried it a couple times. I kind of understand both perspectives, but not really discernible difference to me. They are playing at the elite level, for lots of coins on the regular, so I take their words for it.
