How to carry a 3 piece Jump Cue

Just got my Lomax Jump Cue, custom with 3 section.
The Shaft fits in the shaft spot in Bag.
The forearm goes in the cloth tube in the long pouch on the case.

Where do you carry the short extention?

Like I said it custom so I don't want to beat it up,
also I have to mention I carry way to much crap.

I made a tube with bubble rap and may try lining a paper towel roll with foam or something to slide the little butt into.

Also thought of just making a short piece of wood like a short shaft to screw on the forearm/but so I can just drop it in to a shaft slot in the case.

Any suggestion would help.
Yes I know loose some of the crap.

Thanks,
Jeff

I have a 3x5 case but only carry 2 butts so I just drop the butt of my jump cue in the open slot. Just have to tip the case over to get it out.

Used to have a predator air jump cue and that one had covers for each piece so I guess if you shoved it into a pocket it wouldn't get scratched amongst all the other stuff most of us pack around.

More and more cases nowadays have zippers and a pouch on the side of the larger pouch for the short jump butt. Sounds like your current case doesn't have that side pouch.

Ah, the perfect excuse to invest in a new case.

I put mine in a old sock, but realized I never use the smaller piece so I just leave it at home. I thought about having a leather guy make me a little pouch with two compartments to put the 2 pieces in. Tom

Thanks for the replys

The case above is cool, but who want another bag, so being a simple guy, my Idea is;

I'll just make a custom cap for the butt 11 inches long. That way I can just drop it in a but hole and when I have the stick put together, I can put the 11 inch Cap in the sleave in the large pouch of my bag.

Thanks for all your replys.

John Barton made a case for me. He made me a spacer for my Lomax jump cue.
Make the spacer the length you want, then have it sewn into a cloth tube with a "tail" on it long enough to stick up about 6" above the case tube. Then just push the tail into an adjacent shaft tube. Easy to put in your case, and easy to take out if you want to. Just reach in, grab the trail, and pull the spacer out. Works great!

Your kidding, right? I just put my shaft down the hole were the butt is, make the connection, twist, and out she comes.

Suggest drinking lots of wine and putting the corks down the butt slot, making the butt protrude slightly.

Nope, actually never even thought to do that. But will try it next time I use my jump cue. Don't use my jump cue too much, so never was much of an issue but thanks for the tip

just have a little bit fatter than usual thread protector made. drop it into the butt slot, and it will just chill right at the top for you to grab. I have seen this done many times!

congrats on the new cue!

I really like all your ideas, but I forgot to mention, I also have a hard head.

Lomax said just put a 11 inch 3/4 dowel in a butt hole and then your done.

Since I'm such a space case, I would be banging my good cue on the dowel all the time.

A while back I gave my local cue maker a good bit of funiture grade mahogony (need spell check) so I'll get some back and make one and stain it red to match my Lomax Jump Cue I just got today. It's on another thread with some others that went out today. Could get fancey, but who
needs that.

THX to all for the ideas and when I get it done I'll post pics along with my custom purple heart jump break. Its a slamming, jamming break cue with Samsara Tip.
