How to make a home pool table feel/hit solid

As others have said, I don't believe it's the floor, although mine is on a slab. However, I don't think you need a high end table either, just something of good quality components, set up correctly. Mine's not commercial but it is 1" Italian slate on a solid oak base with large solid oak legs. It weighs a TON and it feels like it.

Here is my table. As the others have said, the floor doesn't matter (as long as it will hold the weight). I had my house builder double up on the floor joists for this room. Anniversary and LED panels. But, who will set it up for you. Call RKC and get someone he knows. A technician can screw it all up.

Do those rails have the same profile as the Diamonds and GC's? K55

I was told it's best to have something between each pedestal foot and the flooring. Having that spacer, does that allow the owner/installer better shimming ability once the table is ''set''. To me I think that is important.

As for your question. I would set each table foot on a solid surface, especially on the slab with a shim or shim then floor. I think that would rid a table of any shudder feel, or non sold feel that carpet could cause on a soft floor with thick carpet. Tho a heavy table will most likely override that feel.
