How To Play This Shot

Had this spread earlier today. The CB is almost on the rail and it would extremely difficult to try and use inside english to hold the 1B for the corner next to it. Plus the 8B blocks the far corner.

How do you posters play this?

In the side with right follow (with maybe some adjustment for swerve) to go 2-3 rails around the 5/9 for the 2.

If you are not comfortable with using high outside to come around 2-3 cushions for either shape on the 2 or running in to the 2 and seeing what you get, then decide if you want to play the safe on the 1 ball or make the 1 leaving you near the end cushion then playing the safe on the 2.

In my opinion, playing the safe on the 1 is easier - at a very soft pace, just slightly overcut the 1 ball just passed the side pocket with outside spin, leaving the 1 ball close to the side cushion beyond the side pocket with the cue ball likely buried either behind the 5 ball and/or the 7 ball, near the end cushion.

There's only one correct shot.
Go Three rails Natural coming behind the 2 an move it a little, can't get hooked AND.
There five pockets you have object ball access to.
Very high percentage shot, the feel of your speed/shot angles going into balls must be developed.

High right 3 rails and out. Dint baby it. I might even force it a tad . Anybody out there see any benefit to the carom in the side off the 7??

Hard to tell unless you're at the table what the real angles look like
I set it up best I could
I'm shooting it in the side, going 3 and getting a nice angle on the two every time

I don't really like using english here when the CB is that close to the rail......I set this shot up based on the picture...CB that close to the rail..........cinch it with straight top....CB goes three rails under the two and bumps it out for a shot in the same pocket.......but....Where the 1 is exactly....and where the CB is exactly makes a big difference in how the shot can be played.....JMO

As depicted, I wouldn't bother trying to avoid the 5. You can just hit the 5 for a bank or graze it and come back either way for the bank or the two in the corner. Inside english on this shot is a correct preshot thing and has nothing to do with difficulty.

I didn't read the other replies (yet), but I think this shot might be on, especially if the CB is a bit off the rail. Play the CB 3 rails to bump the 2 a few inches, and shoot it in the side or the corner depending how its hit.

A good option, a little outside spin cutting the 1 relatively thin on the left side should send the 1 below the 5 and possibly bury the cue ball behind the 6 or 4. At the very least it’s going to leave a long tough shot.
When I set it up, it was thinner than it looked on my phone. Speed was hard to control. I tried jacking up with a center ball and just using english to hide the cue.
I thought this is what I would do.
When I set it up, shooting it in the side, going 3 rails under the two, and coming up with a good angle was way easier.
I might be setting it up wrong too?

Everyone that said 2-3 rails around and shoot the 2 next, which pocket is the 2 going in? The bottom left is blocked by the 8. If the bottom right, how are you getting to the left side of the 2 to shoot it in the bottom right?

When I tried it the cueball went 3 rails under the two and above it to shoot it in the corner it's closest to.
Cueball ends near where the one originally was or a little higher.
