How would you do this?

I'd like to double-bank the 8 to win this game. I know it's a moonshot, but there aren't a lot of other options. How would you go about trying it? There's a slight angle from the cue ball to the 8, so the cue ball will go toward the 14 if you hit the eight straight into the nearest short rail.

Well if you are want to bank it foot rail to head rail to bottom right pocket, I Don't like it. The second rail normally shortens from the angle of the first rail so that 9 ball looks to be blocking it.(Well for me) Well I don't see anything that I like. My hail Mary would be banking foot rail to top right past the 9 ball. Blocking the pocket would be hoped for as the foot rail side rail brush the 9 would be my goal. If a tad short and friendly table roll it might just drop but blocker gives at least a slight hope.
 
Hard to double bank because off the first rail the 8 ball will have what is inside English off the 2nd rail that straightens out the 2nd rebound. That path puts the 9 ball in the way.
 
I'd cut the 8 in front of the 10 to block the pocket and run the cueball 2 rails to make the 15.

This leaves the incoming player shooting from the jaws of the left corner at a missable 14 ball.

I was thinking double-bank to the corner behind the 10. I've seen an Efren clip where he double banks slightly away from the intended pocket and the natural spin from the first rail brings it back off the second rail.

This is doable for two reasons.
1. 8 ball is dark has picked up more dirt, contacting with spin it will grab more unless you hit it too hard.
2. Use a horizontal 9 o'clock cueing with your goal to hit straight at the short rail with a speed that allows the spin you've transferred to the object ball to grab having 8 ball rotation applied.

if you had to bank
i would try to bank pocket speed to block that pocket or maybe slop it in
the double bank to the pocket you intended i think the 10 ball is very close to the path the 8 has to take

My only retort, since most players are not 6'6'' like myself, I don't think the OP can comfortably reach the shot.
 
middle diamond of the near short rail, and hard, hard enough to go the length of the table 3 times, even though you only need 2, banking for the near right pocket.

Whether it can be made or not depends a lot on the table. On many tables you will never get the correct angle off the second rail. Maybe your table is one of those.

Mark the balls very carefully and repeat the shot. Try nothing, left, and right. I think the best speed is just a little harder than to get the ball to the pocket. Shoot with each option until you get the cue ball to land within half a ball of the 15 on the second rail. If none of those work

I'm pretty sure the 9 is blocking that bank. I'd guess that you have to hit within two balls of the upper right pocket to make the two-rail, and the 9 looks like slightly more than two from the cushion. The first rail is going to put the wrong (left) spin on the ball.
