Huebler- Info Help

Paul Huebler

I bought my SP from Mr Huebler in 2008. I called him we talked for about an hour. Sent my check he cashed it, kept forgeting to send the cue.Took three more phone calls and two faxs. But we talked for hours, so almost didn't care if I got the cue.

my first four cues were Hueblers, the last of which is the same as the cue you picture here. seeing the brochure brings back memories of selecting it.

in those days, i favored a very thick shaft, and ordered the cue with 14 mm. last time i took it out and hit it, i felt like i was using a broomstick.

i loved my hueblers, still have them. my opinion remains that his cues were a very good value.

thanks for sharing the pics and the brochure. as i said, they brought back nice memories.

I still play every day with my Huebler SP bought in '86. I had to send it back after about 10 years for joint collars. I also have a custom Huebler, clear maple points spliced into a clear maple forearm. Not the prettiest but plays great and is unusual.

Im glad to bring back so many great memories, My pops just picked up his Huebler last night, I laughed and said its funny how having the right tool can greatly improve your game... Needless to say he kicked my ass pretty bad..

I should have some picks up by later on tonight.

I have 7 Hueblers, including two converted from Mark II house sticks. Does anyone know how Mr. Huebler is doing? Last I heard, he was in a nursing home.

PS This was taken in March and we went to lunch together where we spoke for a few hours and we did pick him up at an assisted living

Mr. Huebler looks really frail, I hope he is doing okay.
I enjoyed my lengthy phone conservations with him as much as I enjoy shooting with one of his cues.

I have noticed that some of the 'higher' end cue collectors and dealers have been showing interest in his Custom Shop Cues.

Fell in love with the hit of a Huebler first time someone let me shoot with theirs. Only kind of cue I've wanted to play with since. Just getting back into playing after being away from the game for 3+ years, and first thing I did was get a Huebler to take the place of the one I no longer had. Got a vertical logo H-6 and it plays as well (if not better lol) than the H-7 I use to play with. Just added a very pj H-S to my arsenal, and hope some day to get an H-9 as that's the one I've been "lusting" after for a while now. (of course there are others I'd love to have too but have a limited budget) My first shot after the layoff with the H-6 was a total wow, the sound, the feel of the hit, so made me feel I was back home in the game! (not that I can shoot worth a darn yet, but working on it ;)

Hope Mr. Huebler is doing ok, and sincerely hope he knows how much enjoyment he has brought to the game for so many.

I see the Huebler Break Jump in the FB photos... didn't even know he had made any of them... Guy here in Knoxville has one and was asking me what I thought it was worth and I said no clue since I had not seen one and thought it might have been made into a Break Jump..... Cool stuff

Great to see that there are so many positive things to hear about Mr. Huebler's pool cues, I do hope he is doing ok he is sure something. I would have given my right leg to have met him sometime in my life.

Is there anything negative about the cues??? Dosent seem to be brought up at all, dont get me wrong im very pleased with my cue and some ones opinions on it could never make that change, Im just curious is all.
