LOL - now this is the funniest thing I have read. I am one of the admins of the site and I can promise this never happened.
The only things that are ever discussed behind the scenes are usually why someone has been banned or if we should let sone one back in.
Secondly we are all spread out around the world so we are not sitting in a room shipping meat. However that was funny.
Anyways I just wanted to clarify this never happened.

Ship it. Actually, very very few people get banned by me. I try everything possible to give members a chance to abide by the rules and stay in the groups.
And most of the time the mods also try to get members to adjust their behavior to be in line with the rules. You all would probably not be surprised to know the number of people who "bow up" and start hurling insults at the mods for ANY correction whatsoever.
I will say that once we started implementing an "agreement" process where they have to agree that they have read the rules before they can get approved it has cut down on the rule-breaking quite a bit. Facebook has poor tools for administering groups so we had no way to MAKE people read the rules and thus no way to know if they did before joining. Now at least they have to say that they read and understand the rules before they are allowed to join. That way they can't claim ignorance later.
I think we do ok with three groups and 35,000 plus members. I think we only have 635ish people on the banned list and a lot of them were just bot-trolls that got in during the time before human-choice authentication. So less than 2%, probably more like 1.5%, of the membership on the banned list isn't too bad IMO.
It's actually hard to get banned by me. I tolerate a lot INCLUDING criticism and insults directed at me on my forums. I am willing to face any criticism head-on and many people who were obviously TRYING to get me to ban them so they could get their badge-of-honor among the JB haters I guess were surprised to find that their actions weren't enough to get banned and the result was that they ended up looking pretty foolish to the general membership.
A good thing about FB is that people can't be anon trolls like on forums. Scrolling back through this thread you will find that most of the haters are all anonymous. They don't have their real names in their sigs and so they can't be held accountable for what they say. Not so on FB. I find it to much more refreshing when people can be made responsible for their words. If they lie and slander then they can't snipe behind made up accounts because it's super easy to figure out what accounts are real and which are not. The ones who are not are simply banished completely and all their content erased. The ones who are real get every opportunity to act with civility and when they don't they are banned and their content remains so that everyone else can see how they acted.
Last night while in the middle of dealing with all this I told my little girl last night that I hoped she wouldn't grow up to be a little girl.

Look, as I said the guy that ripped the other guy off had something coming - I just thought this was a little over the top.
Now I have no dog in this fight but I do not like it when someone says that something never happened when I watched it unfold right before my eyes as did many many others. I never said everyone was in the same room. I said all the mods were well aware of it. Please tell me this did not happen as not necessarily me, but I do know a bunch of other people have screen shots of the whole thing - just the nature of the Internet today. 1) pics were posted up ( on OBM )of the meat ) being put into the shipping container. 2) pics of shipping receipt. 3) screen shots of the offending guy opening package ( opened package ) as well as the conversation immediately following. 3) many many people laughing about it on the thread, which by the way included mods from your site on the thread as well. 4)discussions about how this was planned out and who were involved - also worth noting when someone commented " why would you post this up - aren't you concerned..... and them replying something like no not at all becsuse.......
Hey it worked lol, the offending guy ended up apologizing again and aging and asking for forgiveness. Now I wouldn't have even brought this up if I had thought it would have gotten anyone involved in trouble ( keep in mind EVERYONE involved posted up real time and boasted and laughed about this caper ) and the reason I knew no one would get in any trouble ( nor do I think they should ) is because .... well they didn't get Inew trouble as everyone of them is and has been on there every day since...

It's a forum. Group or Forum are interchangeable for the practical use. You have as much recourse there as you do here.
In fact we have another private group for appeals where a person can make their case in front of all the mods. We often invite people to that group for them to do just that. If they can make a good enough case then they can get reinstated.
I was NOT aware of it so not all the mods were. And the person who sent the package was not a mod when it went down.
I do NOT approve of OBM being used to trick people, even to those that probably deserve it. I will investigate this further and determine the EXACT details on what happened. I can tell you that I am pretty positive, not 100% but 95% that no active mods were involved in doing this to someone.
IF it happened with assistance from our mods then I can guarantee that it will never happen again.
As much as we want to do these things we have to stay neutral. Believe me there is one guy who I would gladly like to punish in real life for crimes I believe he has committed. But I cannot act on that as I value my freedom AND although I am fairly certain he acted criminally I am not law enforcement and cannot perpetrate vigilante justice on the behalf of someone else.

Why do you think there are so many JB haters out there? You've mentioned it two or three times already in this thread alone. After all, you really do build the best case in the industry. Seriously.
It takes a lot of energy, all of it negative energy, to hate. I personally couldn't imagine going to the trouble without sufficient provocation. But that's just me, and perhaps I rely too much on logic.

All the mods did NOT know about it if it did happen. I am a mod and I know nothing of this. Is be one of the first to admit it if I did know. I've been a mod since day 1.
Personally if it did happen I don't agree with these antics.
And if they get a favorable nod, they are given the words and phrase to recite while they genuflect?

JB, this really is no big deal to me. After reading this thread, apparently you javelin a lot more mods than I am aware of. I'm not on there that often and I only remembering seeing two or three ( I guess they were the most active ones ??? Dunno ). The reason I said everyone had to know is because with the activity on that thread and with the huge voli,email of posts it stayed at the top for at least a whole day of I'd think so that leads me to believe most everyone was aware - not to mention the ones that posted in it. As I said in my earlier post " my best recollection " so even if a few things may be a little off some guy did in fact get sent meat and got re-ripped off for two cues to make up for him initiallyscrewing the first guy - that's all I'm saying. Also, I do not want to see anything come of this as I said, only reason I even said anything is because the whole story was up there front and center for so long I did not believe anyone cared in the slightest .
Same here. Not on your case selection but refusing to spend my money on him.
I also don't like that the people who do the tooling get to stamp their names on the cases.
I'm fine with it saying JB Cases but to have the name of the person who did the work is something I don't like.
Plus why would I want my name all over You Tube just because I order a case.
He's been giving out names and whoever orders a case unknowingly/unwillingly goes on
You Tube in his self promoting videos.

I recently needed a new case and was very happy to spend my money elsewhere and got unbelievable craftsmanship
every bit of which was MADE RIGHT HERE IN THE USA.
All of it. Nothing exported or imported.

JB what happened? Did your favorite Doctor or Pharmacist run out of your meds? Nobody and I mean NOBODY here is a more knowledgeable on being banned than yourself...maybe with the exception of the late Fast Larry. Now that he's gone your are the Undisputed World Champion.
