I haven't played league in 5 years, but when I did...

I enjoyed having a regular night out to play league pool. I enjoyed the camaraderie with my teammates. I enjoyed drinking beer and cracking jokes and cutting up. I enjoyed meeting and playing against different people from all skill levels and backgrounds. I enjoyed teaching others when asked and learning from others whenever possible. I enjoyed the personal challenges I made for myself. I enjoyed being a leader, a role player, the anchor player, a sub or what ever position I needed to fill. I enjoyed sinking the final winning shot. I enjoyed winning the league. I enjoyed winning a trip to Vegas. I enjoyed going to the state tournament. I enjoyed getting 1st in the state tournament. I enjoyed playing in Vegas. And finally, I enjoyed watching a league player (SVB) win back to back masters titles in Vegas.

Yea, some league players can run more than 3 balls!

I've always enjoyed being a part of a sports team. There is just something about being around people that wanted you to win, that makes me happy. Camaraderie is one of my favorite things.

i played in a league for 1 full season and i subbed when i could for a second. i had a great time. it was always fun to see the people who played and everyone had a good time.

for a bar league it had some pretty talented players too. it wasn't uncommon to see racks broken and run and in fact i saw a 4 pack one night.

leagues are fun. if you're looking to have a good time i'd recommend joining one.

if you wanna get better and try to make cash playing i hvae no recommendations. i haven't been able to do either of those things the entire time i've been playing

I hope you realize just what the hell you have done here.

You love leagues.
PocketPoint hates leagues.

I'm pretty sure by boolean logic: You hate Pocketpoint.

Lol.

Pool would be nonexistent in my area if not for leagues.

Pool without leagues in my area would probably still be fine, but certainly not better off without leagues. We have league nights in this area on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday which is Masters and Ladies leagues. That is a lot of people coming into practice that might not, or might not as much if not for leagues. That is also a lot of new people taking up pool because of leagues.

I'm not going to say that leagues are the best thing in the world. There are some things that I either disagree with, or just don't like about leagues. I will say that leagues are without a doubt the best institution out there to promote pool. I'd be willing to bet a years pay that APA, BCA, TAP and VNEA have brought in more brand new shiny players than any one other single institution in billiards today, or anything coming in the near future.
