I am Sorry to say that there will not be having any 3-Cushion qualifiers or events this year at the Derby City Classic. Due to circumstances that are beyond my control, there is not enough room for 7ft or 3-Cushion billiard tables this year at this location.
 
This is VERY SAD NEWS indeed!! It makes me realize how lucky I am to be able to drive to Chicago and play at Chris's. The carom tables there are almost always in use and there are many folks happy to play at anytime!

Paul, What does this mean for the 2009 Ladies USBA 3 Cushion National Championship? Will it be held elsewhere? Or will there be more information later?

Hey Paul,

I am very disappointed about no 3c at Derby City. One of the main reasons for going to the Derby is the 3c and watching the pool is an extra plus. This would have been my 6th year in a row. Looks like I'll have to cancel my reservations.

Hope I can sneak away and see many of you at Chris's Billiards.
 
I didn' watch any pool action at all last year at the Derby. I spent every night enjoying 3C. DCC will be losing a strong draw, in my opinion, not to have the billiard event in the same venue. My travel plans are sure to change as a result.
 
Knock off another one - I was going to make a first time roadtrip, but all pool all the time, sorry, I can see endless tables of 9ball without travelling that far.
 
No doubt, I was kicking myself b/c I couldn't make it last year & i'm only 3 hours away, but it wasn't my fault. Now it really sucks. I don't see why they couldn't just do it at Chris's. 5 Verhoevens, very cheap hotels & plenty of parking...
 
This announcement is very disappointing. I was really loooking forward to the trip. Although I wasn't crazy about the change in venue, I was already making plans to attend. Guess I'll save my money.
