i watched the ladies match on espn this last weekend on my new big screen t.v. [ i had to get one because i could not see the football scores anymore ] i got a look at karens cue for the first time i saw that she was using a sneaky style cue with an ash shaft. is this something new or has she always played with a ash shaft? chuck

She's an ex-snooker player.
She also lost her cue endorsement deal ( Falcon/Predator iirc ).
I believe she has no sponsor at all right now.

To add clarification.....
ash shafts are very popular with Snooker.

I just sold an X2 (X-Jumper) to a friend of mine. It has an ash shaft.

I noticed the ash shaft is stiffer than normal pool cue (maple) shafts.
It seems to give more feedback.
I kind of like it, and am thinking about having an ash shaft made for my playing cue.
