I dare you at Jimmy's Pro Billiards to find one speck of anything on ANY of the tables and balls.

Jimmy's has the cleanest equipment I've ever seen. I was watching them clean the tables yesterday and the person doing it was meticulous.

You can't beat the prices to play....

11:00AM - 7:00 PM - $10
7:00PM - 4:00AM - $15

If you are in the area...

4040 Central Ave NE, Columbia Heights, MN 55421

This is just a few miles north of downtown Minneapolis

I like your post. Wish I was a bit closer.

Is smoking allowed? What kind of table equipment do they have?

Wish!!

I was in Minneapolis a few months back and played at a place closer to town in the same area (cannot remember the name), it was an older establishment and they were PO about the no smoking ban at the time. Wish I had checked out Jimmy's. Next time for sure...

Yes Bill is a neat freak. Best kept up (big) tables in the Twin cities . Any action up there?

No smoking. 9 ft diamond professionals, 8 and 9ft Gold Crown 2's and 3's.( I think) Valley bar boxes. Also a snooker table.

No smoking inside anywhere in Minnesota.

I believe all the 8' and 9' footers are Gold Crowns. I did see 4 valley bar boxes and a Riley 12' Snooker table where there was 4 guys playing golf.

I shoot out of there. (and run 14.1 leagues as well)

Most of the 9' footers are Gold Crowns (a few are shimmed)
3 Diamond 9' footers
some 8' Gold Crowns
2 Valley Bar Boxes
12' Riley snooker table with Simonis 4000

all tables were redone within the past 6 months with new blue simonis
2 of the GC's are reserved for straight pool and one pocket only

Bill does the best job I've seen at keeping the equipment clean

you can find action there

sadly, smoking is banned everywhere in minnesota

If anyone is in town and looking for a game @ jimmy's, PM me

I haven't had the pleasure of playing there. I wanted to say that you CAN beat those prices... they're higher than I see locally, about double the local price in the evening... but I would personally pay a few extra bucks for equipment that is really well maintained with lots of TLC put into cleaning it.

Good to hear about room owners like this.

well, more people need to start taking advantage of it, and pretty soon, or there won't be any places like this left. The sports bars are pretty the only places doing ok around here.

Last I was there he was recovering all the tables. I play there this Wednesday so now I am excited to see how they all turned out.

That's not the per hour price, that is the total price for those times. 7p.m.-4a.m. for a total of $15. I think the regular hourly rate is around $4-$5. If $15 for 9 hours of pool at night is double of your pool halls, I will be moving there at the end of this week.

So I was at Jimmy's last night..... The tables were pretty clean the bed felt was good on the table I played on. The rails on the other hand looked like hell. Cloth pulling out of the featherstrips and wrinkles in the corners. Table played slow but overall everything went okay.
