Gratz!
See you in the open-A in March.
Yep, already have a team set up for the A division, too.
Congratulations...sorry I missed your play. I was watching my family friend Matt go through the ranks of Masters singles on Thursday...
One of his final bracket opponents was telling somebody that he didn't have much of a chance, as Matt was running out like it was nothing, over and over. I was a bit surprised that he wasn't in the GMC this time around. After that showing, I'm sure he will be in March.
A link to the stream would be nice.
Good shooting, sir.
Sorry, PT, it was a live stream.
Thanks, Patrick.
....
My finals opponent I had 3 hill-hill matches with. I played like a dog in the near-double-dip, after having stayed up until 6am playing Chris Byers some banks while nearly falling-down-drunk, giving up a fair portion of my winnings. Hard lesson learned right there. I've decided that I'm going to take a break from drinking for a while, if for nothing else to at least recoup the loss from that night.
On the bright side, I was told by some spectators from that drunken episode that I was absolutely hilarious and put on a great show and made some nice shots, from what I can remember I just couldn't stick the easier ones and sold out easy shots in return.
Felt like I couldn't quite get a decent rhythm going during the tournament, except for shutting out a friend in good fashion and shutting out my first finals bracket opponent, missing probably only a couple of shots in each of those matches. Many of my other matches went 6-4 or 6-5. I'm a grinder, so I try not to let it get to me and try to keep my opponent working.. "try" being the key word in a couple of those matches.
I did get to play JC a little, played BDcues a bit(not sure if he's on here), played Dumo a little at the beginning of the drunkenness and played a few friends of course. It was a good time and I still came out ahead. I'll be getting more Diamond practice in the months leading up to the 8-ball tournament, so with any luck I'll be able to do well then, too.
In the teams, we made it into the money, but sometimes things just don't go your way.
