Someone on AZB (I won't say who) read my ideas for developing a cue case from this thread. http://www.azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?p=265941#post265941

Then they went out and found the Rolling Deluxe Dealer Carrying Case by Sterling. Then they went one step further and actually sent me one. It's a 12x24 case with 3 huge pockets and cue ball pocket. This thing is amazing. It has wheels and it has a built in holder for you cues on the outside for easy access when playing. It is really sturdy and stands up with great balance, even with cues on the side of it. It even came with a duffle bag cover bag for airline travel.

I doubt this is for most people, but I am ecstatic. I travel a lot as my moniker tells you and this is a great way for me to take a variety of my cues with me.

So to this person here on AZB: Thank you so much. It is the coolest thing I have gotten as a present in a long time.

PS: No it was not from a Sterling rep.

great case

I just purchased one of those myself. I think it is a great case. I got mine pretty much for storage purposes instead of having a bunch of cases in my closet. It allows me to open one case, pick the cue I want and go. Also good when I want to take some cues for a perspective buyer to try out. Nothing worse than carrying like four cases into the pool hall....lol

Congrats, Donovan, you're a lucky guy! :)

I don't normally get emotional, but that did bring a slight tear or two.

Anyway, yes it was quite unexpected. Now I need to go buy some more cues to fill it up with. :D

I have a lot of ideas for improving a nine-foot cherry Diamond table... and the 2005 Ducati 999R Testastretta... and a 130' Westport Tri-Deck yacht... if anyone, uh, happens to be interested in supplying said item(s).

But Marissa, there ain't a DAYUM thing to improve BillYards avatar...I don't care what anybody says! Ain't but one way she would look better...and I can't share that here HA HA

Extremely nice of someone! Congrats on the new case.

Some people are just genuinely good people.

sometime maybe only once during a lifetime a person makes an impact in one's life and appreciates a great friend.......judging by your posts over the past year you seem to be one fine individual ..i'm glad your friend appreciates you..what a wonderful gift..Happy New Year :D

Dude that is a cool gift!

It's nice to hear of things like this happening, especially to one of the most helpful posters on AZB.

Happy new year mate! :D

Thanks.

Geesh, now the compliments are bugging me. :o I need to crawl in a hole and hide.

I'm not really good at getting compliments or knowing how to handle getting super nice things from someone just out of kindness. I love to do it for others, but I suck at being the one receiving kindness. I'm glad I can write it, because getting all choked up makes me feel "?silly?".

As you can tell, even when I write opinions based on my limited knowledge, I'm very quick to admit when I'm wrong when someone proves it to me, or I get hit in the head enough. ;) I love learning here and I am glad to have all of the friends I can handle.

Crap...this is sounds too mushy!

How about: Thanks for hanging with me! :) Ahh, that's better. :D
