Hi John,

I hate you=), god damn you make me feel like a real loser. You make it look so easy. You are a great player...

I was really impressed that you talked so honestly about runs and equipment. I also agree about your thoughts on the players of today and 14.1. If I had the funds (if I ever hit it big on the lottery), I'd put up $1000000 to see 1000 run on tape and it could be with5 inch pockets...

Please keep on doing things like this. It is well worth the money.

Also something I would like to have, is a bunch of specialty shots done and examend like Keith McCgredy talks about some of his, one in mind is the "Juice Shot". It would be great to see them and then have them explained on tape. Just a thought if you want to make something other than just 14.1. Either way though, please keep them coming sir.

Pete,
I never looked at it from quite that perspective...I guess John really does owe us all a big apology for making us feel so inadequate (or at least he should kick in to help defray the Prozac costs sure to be incurred by all of the straight pool geeks that watch this DVD). I think I'll go watch it again.

I have had this DVD for a while and it is, as far as I know, the longest run available to be viewed. John's cueball control is amazing and the fact that he can shoot for over and hour and know he is not going to miss just is mind boggling to me. I watch it over and over again because his play is so smooth. When he gets into trouble, it is a minor annoyance, he makes a great shot and moves on. He only misses position 4 or 5 times during the entire run. I would like to see similar recordings from Johnny Archer, Ralf Soquet Thomas Engert, etc. John is an amazing player, and this is a great resource for anyone interested in straight pool.

Things that John Schmidt owes me...lol

Ok here's a partial list, feel free to add to this list.
1. prozac
2. broken cue (I can't believe I missed that shot! )
3. 1 broken rack (I didn't mean to hit the light  )
4. 1 broken light (see #3)
5. 3 boxes of tissue, i figure about one box each for #s 2-4 :p
6. 6 anger management sessions :o
7. treatment for depression (see #1 again)
8. my wife left me because of the poor shot making & not getting a
good break ball, so I guess you owe me for 1/2 of everything I had.
9. 1 chipped slate. The other 2 pieces are still alright... OMG the
balls really are hard. They should make harder slate :D
10. 1 broken stereo... don't ask.
11. Table time
13. 1 moustache and nose getup... I can't be seen in public now
14. 1 broken break cue (after my other cue was gone, I missed
an easy shot & ended up doing my best Johnny Archer imitation)

Thanks John, you're the best.

ps... update on #8, I still have my wife... but she still makes me wear the moustach and nose.

Facets,
Too dang funny.

I guess John must have had very poor legal advice prior to releasing this very dangerous (if not downright destructive) DVD. The financial ramifications could be huge if DCP ever gets hold of this thing.

That's all for now, I've got to get back to making my list of damages...hey, can you sue for mental cruelty in this state????

a good friend of mine just sent me a copy - haven't had a chance to view it, but after reading the posts, can't wait. 9balllvr

Even though John Schimidt robbed me years ago for just about every dollar I had on me.. LOL I'd still buy the DVD, where can I buy it?
