I started playing 14-1 a few months ago. And I have several videos of 30 -40 ball runs. About 5 total with my highest at 40.

The last few times I set up the camera to beat my 40. I could not get off the ground,,lol. Seemed I could hardly get through one rack and into the second!!
I tried and tried.lol

I tried on 2 different occasions. It was ticking me off. Make some great shots and should have been out,,and mis a easy ball somehow.

It has something to do with the camera!!! I must be camera shy,,cause when I had it off I buzzed through 2 racks easily!!!

I will have a 50 on film within a month!!! Mark my words.lol Or maybe not!!! lol

This game is brutal!!!

Just turn the camera on every-time you practice. You will get used to it. My best runs come when I am not trying to run a number. They come when I am only focused on playing the game.

I also have a hard time with the camera. First time on camera couldn't run ten after many good runs 50,60,and so on then hit a 104 like nothing. You will get used to it !

This is the way to think about the camera - you aren't going to show anybody the bad runs, only the good ones. Therefore you shouldn't worry about missing a shot because nobody will see it.

I wish you the best in running 50, the game is not brutal but a skid when your getting ready break 50 is. Just keep practicing have fun, I have a prediction that 50 will not be a problem from reading your post as you seem very determined. Just to let you know everyone's motivation is different, for some it's money that is the main motivation - not me. I never knew how much I could enjoy practicing untill I really got a handle on 14.1, this does not mean that I have quit learning cause I have not. If your worried about the camera this could be related to wanting to post a big run too quickly and show your friends, to play this game fluidly you must REALLY love Straight Pool. For now just forget about the numbers and utilize the camera to review any shots you may having difficulty with, there is no quick fix for running 50 other than persistence and a true love for the game.
