I think different players have preferences which suit them. For instance, have you taken a look at Mike Davis' tip? It's all but nonexistent!

I haven't noticed Shawn's tips, but it makes sense what he says, to me at least.

Keith does NOT like playing with a brand-new tip. He wants to break it in for a spell before it can provide its PEAK performance (LOL).
